This is a remote position.
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP / S/4HANA Service Developer to join an international Customer Service transformation program on 4 days per week basis. The role focuses on developing and enhancing SAP S/4HANA Service solutions, supporting migration initiatives, and contributing to a modern, scalable service architecture.
You will work within a skilled, cross-functional team in a dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on continuous delivery, innovation, and long-term solution evolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA Service (Advanced Execution) solutions
- Support S/4HANA migration projects and ongoing system improvements
- Contribute to a continuous delivery setup and multi-year service modernization roadmap
- Design and build SAP Fiori / UI5 applications using modern UX principles
- Implement business requirements using:
- Exits, BAdIs, Enhancements
- CDS Views and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
- OData services (V2/V4)
- Design and maintain integrations and interfaces:
- RFC, IDocs, OData, Web Services, ABAP Proxy
- Collaborate closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders
- Provide technical consulting to SAP Inhouse teams and IT projects
- Support:
- Quality management processes
- Custom code lifecycle management
- 3rd-level support and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
- Several years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development
- Strong expertise in SAP CS or S/4HANA Service environments
- Solid experience with:
- SAP Fiori / UI5
- CDS Views and RAP
- Modern ABAP development practices
- Experience working with integrations and interface technologies (RFC, IDoc, OData, APIs)
- Ability to work effectively in both agile and traditional delivery models
- Strong analytical mindset with a structured and independent way of working
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent English (German is a plus)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with additional SAP modules
- Knowledge of:
- SAP Workflow
- SAP Script / Adobe Forms
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools or practices
