AI Summary

Maintain and optimize Salesforce applications for multiple clients, focusing on application health, reliability, and incident resolution. Collaborate with architects and delivery teams to ensure scalable and secure environments across a multi-client portfolio.

Why This Role Exists
Unlike project-based delivery, this role focuses on application health and reliability, incident and problem resolution, continuous improvement and optimisation, and proactive monitoring and preventative maintenance. You will typically support several client environments at once, each with its own configuration, processes, and level of Salesforce maturity, and you will need to switch context and reprioritise as client needs shift throughout the day. You will collaborate closely with the Platform Success delivery team and internal Architects to ensure Salesforce environments remain scalable, secure, and aligned to evolving business needs across the portfolio. You maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise Salesforce applications for multiple Platform Success clients concurrently, ensuring reliable, scalable solutions for each client while collaborating across teams and continuously strengthening your technical expertise.

What You'll Be Doing

This role is primarily accountable for:

  • Application health and reliability
  • Incident and problem resolution
  • Continuous improvement and optimisation
  • Proactive monitoring and preventative maintenance
  • Prioritisation and delivery across a multi-client portfolio

Responsibility:

  • Custom Development: Design, develop, and implement custom Salesforce solutions including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, triggers, and declarative automation to support ongoing enhancements and fixes across multiple client orgs.
  • Salesforce Application Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches. Monitor system health, performance, and security to ensure platform stability.
  • Incident Resolution: Diagnose and resolve Salesforce-related incidents and defects within agreed SLAs. Escalate complex issues to Senior Developers or Architects when required.
  • Client Support: Provide clear, timely communication across a portfolio of Platform Success clients regarding incidents, enhancements, and system behaviour, tailoring your approach to each client's context. Work collaboratively to deliver effective solutions.
  • Data Management: Support data loads, data quality fixes, validation rules, workflows, and integrations to maintain data integrity across Salesforce environments.
  • Monitoring & Proactive Health Checks:  Proactively monitor logs, system usage, limits, and integrations. Identify and address potential risks before they escalate into incidents.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimise performance, reduce technical debt, and improve user experience. Propose and implement enhancements aligned with best practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of configurations, customisations, fixes, and enhancements for Platform Success clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Salesforce Developers, MuleSoft Developers, QA Engineers, Architects, and Customer Success teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Mentoring: Participate in code reviews, share learnings, and support junior developers through mentoring and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Portfolio & Prioritisation:  Manage competing demands across multiple concurrent clients, applying sound judgement to prioritise incidents, enhancements, and SLAs based on urgency and impact.
