AI Summary

The role involves leading discovery sessions and translating business requirements into actionable Salesforce user stories and technical documentation. The analyst serves as the primary link between stakeholders and developers to ensure successful configuration and integration.

About the role

We’re looking for a Salesforce Business Analyst to join our delivery team and play a central role on client engagements. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable Salesforce solutions. You will lead discovery sessions, capture and synthesize requirements, write user stories, and produce documentation that keeps complex workstreams moving. This is a hands-on BA role where organization, precision, and structured thinking matter as much as Salesforce knowledge. If you’re the person who leaves every meeting with clean notes, tight action items, and a ticket ready to write, we want to talk.

Employment Type: Full-Time 1099 Contractor
Compensation Range: $60-$85 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and facilitate discovery sessions with client stakeholders. Prepare agendas, ask the right questions, and ensure every session has a clear output.
  • Capture and synthesize session notes in real time: document decisions, open questions, and action items while the conversation is still happening, and distribute clean summaries promptly.
  • Write clear, developer-ready user stories and acceptance criteria (Given/When/Then format) for Salesforce configuration, automation, and integration work. Provide enough detail that a developer can build and a tester can verify without a follow-up meeting.
  • Own your documentation end to end. Maintain well-organized Confluence pages, Jira backlogs, and project artifacts that are current, navigable, and useful to the whole team.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between business stakeholders and technical teams. Translate needs in both directions and keep track of what was agreed.
  • Support UAT by writing test scripts, coordinating testers, and tracking defects through resolution.
  • Identify scope risks, open questions, and dependencies early. Escalate with context, not just flags.
  • Contribute to internal process improvement and knowledge-sharing as part of a growing consulting team.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst, ideally in a consulting or SI environment.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a Salesforce Administrator role — required. This foundation is non-negotiable: we expect you to understand how the platform works, not just how to document it.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Solid working knowledge of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. You understand the objects, the relationships, and how configuration choices affect end users.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating discovery and requirements sessions with non-technical stakeholders. This includes preparation, facilitation, and post-session documentation.
  • Strong note-taking and synthesis skills: you can walk out of a 90-minute session with a clean summary, open question log, and decision record that everyone can rely on.
  • Demonstrated ability to write user stories and structured acceptance criteria (Given/When/Then) that developers and QA can act on without follow-up.
  • Exceptional organizational skills. You manage your own backlog, maintain your documentation proactively, and don’t let things fall through the cracks across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong written communication skills. Your tickets, session notes, and project docs are precise, well-structured, and easy for others to navigate.
  • Proficiency with Jira and/or Confluence (or equivalent project tracking and documentation tools).
  • 1+ Years of consulting experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Health Cloud or working in a healthcare client environment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce org migration or consolidation projects.
  • Exposure to integration-adjacent BA work (e.g., API-based integrations, middleware, EHR/Epic touchpoints).
  • Salesforce Business Analyst Certification
  • Experience writing or contributing to UAT scripts and supporting formal test cycles.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 90 days, you’re oriented on client context and actively contributing to at least one engagement. You are facilitating or co-facilitating discovery sessions, producing clean session notes and summaries, writing stories, and managing your ticket backlog with minimal hand-holding. Within six months, stakeholders trust your documentation, developers rarely need to come back for clarification, and your Confluence pages are the team’s source of truth. You make the work legible.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on substantive, complex Salesforce engagements — not cookie-cutter implementations.
  • A tight-knit team where your work is visible and your voice matters.
  • Opportunities to grow into senior BA, PM, or solution architecture tracks.
  • Remote-first culture with collaborative, structured delivery practices.
  • Exposure to healthcare and enterprise Salesforce at scale.
