Position Summary

The Sales & Outreach Intern is responsible for outbound prospecting and sales of energy-saving products and services offered by the company. This intern will play a key role in supporting the sales process, helping our team deliver energy-efficiency solutions to clients across the country. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in B2B sales, customer relationship management, and the growing field of energy conservation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make 60–100 outbound calls per day to promote energy efficiency programs
  • Qualify leads for weatherization, water-saving, and energy-efficient product installations
  • Schedule appointments for Sales Team or close eligible transactions by phone
  • Follow up on inbound interest and dormant customers and prospects
  • Support CRM data entry and maintenance (NetSuite), ensuring accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions
  • Meet or exceed weekly performance metrics including call volume, conversion rate, and appointment setting
  • Help coordinate sales campaigns, email outreach, and follow-ups
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, customer service) to ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and client calls as needed

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field
  • Clear, persuasive communicator with strong listening skills
  • Strong interest in sales, sustainability, and energy efficiency products or home performance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with CRM tools is a plus
  • CRM experience (NetSuite preferred)
  • Highly organized and goal-oriented
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Spanish fluency a plus

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree or equivalent required (or currently pursuing)
  • 1–2 years of call center, sales, or utility program experience
