The Sales Executive is responsible for prospecting, developing broker relationships, and closing new business to achieve company growth goals. Key duties include managing the sales pipeline in Salesforce, delivering consultative presentations, and traveling frequently to meet clients and partners.
Position Summary:
The Sales Executive will thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and play a critical role in achieving company growth and revenue goals. This individual is responsible for prospecting, developing relationships, and closing new business while delivering a consultative sales experience to brokers, consultants, and employer groups. This person must be comfortable making/taking dozens of calls daily, developing partner channels, presenting in front of a group of people, generating and qualifying prospects as well as closing sales.
Major Responsibilities:
- Broker distribution and development
- Ability to present and sell to consultants or employer groups of any size
- Interpret, qualify, and professionally respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP’s)
- Maintain updated and accurate pipeline tracking and activity in CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
- Ability to cold call prospects and brokers
- Ability to present solutions via virtual and in-person meetings
- Effectively leverage company-approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, as part of daily workflows and performance expectations to improve efficiency, organization, communication, and overall productivity
- Ability to be consultative in all things wellbeing
- Become expert in all ancillary wellness services that are offered and have the ability to provide strategic direction for prospects and current clients
- Able to generate new leads via broker and direct to end user sales channels
- Build and sustain positive relationships with the entire Wellness IQ staff
- Interact with staff, management and vendors to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Frequent travel is an essential function of this role and may include overnight, multi-day, and out-of-state travel for broker meetings, client meetings, conferences, trainings, and other business needs
Job requirements & Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- College Degree Preferred
- 3+ years of Sales, Employee Benefits, or related experience, or any combination of education, experience and training that provides knowledge and abilities to perform the job
- Comfort with cold calling and objection handling
- Passion for Health and Wellness
- Insurance brokerage experience specifically in employee benefits preferred

- Salesforce CRM experience preferred
- Proficiency in Teams, Zoom or other virtual presentation

Pay Types:
- Salary - The salary range for this position is location-dependent and aligned with local market benchmarks and cost-of-living considerations. WIQ considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation including but not limited to working location, level of experience, and relevant education.
- Variable compensation - Commission
Travel requirement:
- Travel may be required up to 50% of the time and may vary based on business priorities, sales opportunities, client needs, and territory demands
- Employees must maintain flexibility and availability for required travel, including occasional short notice travel and onsite attendance as needed
- Wellness IQ will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of travel requirements whenever practicable, though advance notice may not always be possible
