Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Director to lead the development of our freight wagon sales and leasing business across Italy. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth through new business acquisition as well as maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening our market position in rail freight solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and acquire new customers in the rail freight, logistics, and industrial sectors
  • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, negotiations, and closing deals
  • Build, maintain, and develop long-term relationships with key clients
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers in the region
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs within the Benelux rail freight sector
  • Provide strategic insights to support product and commercial decision
  • Work closely with operations, technical, and finance teams to deliver tailored solutions


Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in sales, leasing, or commercial roles within rail freight, logistics, or heavy asset industries
  • Strong track record in business development and key account management
  • Experience with leasing structures or asset-based financing is a strong advantage
  • Very good understanding of the Italian market
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management
  • Strategic thinking with a hands-on, results-driven approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage a regional sales portfolio
  • Fluency in Italian and English
