Job Overview 

Impact Advisors is seeking a dynamic and motivated AR Supervisor will be responsible for managing a group of AR representatives and ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables  This leader upholds workflow standards and drives productivity.  The AR Supervisor plays a critical frontline leadership role and serves as a partner to AR Managers and Directors, supporting both team performance and client outcomes 

The AR Supervisor manages between 10-15 AR representatives across both the US and nearshore locations.  This position is responsible for performance of their staff, ensuring timely follow up and collections.  They are responsible for the accuracy of their assigned team.  This position reports to the AR Director.

Key Responsibilities: 

Daily Operational Oversight:  

  • Oversee all assigned work queues, ensuring timely and accurate claim followup, including denials, noresponse claims, appeals, edit WQs, and aged accounts, consistent with SOPs.  

  • Monitor account distribution to ensure balanced workloads, proper aging, and priority handling for highvalue or timesensitive claims. 

  • Review escalated or complex claims requiring supervisor intervention, including those related to Californiaspecific regulations (e.g., DMHC, MediCal, CCS, workers comp variations). 

Staff Leadership:  

  • Lead, coach, and evaluate AR Representatives to meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards. 

  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, team huddles, and performance discussions 

  • Assist with onboarding, workflow training, and ongoing competency development. 

  • Support disciplinary action or escalation as needed. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with AR Managers, Directors, and Client Delivery leadership to escalate payer issues, recommend process improvements, and support clientfocused outcomes. 

  • Participate in leadership or operational meetings as needed. 

Qualifications 

Required  

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare Accounts Receivable, including followup, denials, and appeals. 

  • At least 1–2 years of AR team lead or supervisor experience. 

  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes, billing workflows, and payer behavior. 

  • Proficiency with EHR and billing systems (Epic preferred), Microsoft Excel, and workflow reporting tools. 

  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. 

Preferred  

  • Handson AR experience with California payers and billing standards 

  • Experience supporting large, multifacility health systems. 

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) 

  • Experience in complex denial management environments. 

  • Located in California or Texas. 

  • Ability to travel to Mexico to support training and onboarding.
