We are seeking a Requirements Analyst & Functional QA professional to join the Consultec team. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled at understanding business needs, translating them into clear functional requirements, and ensuring that software solutions meet both user expectations and business objectives. You are comfortable working closely with clients, product teams, developers, and QA professionals throughout the software development lifecycle.

This is a remote position.

Advanced English proficiency (C1 level) is mandatory, as the role requires frequent communication and collaboration with international teams and clients.

You will:

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.

  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.

  • Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions, workshops, interviews, and validation meetings with clients and stakeholders.

  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, dependencies, and risks within business and functional requirements.

  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, UX/UI Designers, and QA teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements.

  • Design and execute functional test cases based on business requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.

  • Validate that delivered functionality meets documented requirements and expected business behavior.

  • Identify, document, track, and retest defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business users and clients.

  • Maintain requirements traceability between business needs, user stories, test cases, and delivered functionality.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Support the prioritization and clarification of requirements during development.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand system behavior, integrations, APIs, and data flows.

  • Validate data and business rules through database queries when required.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of requirements management and functional QA processes.

Ideally, you'd have:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Analyst, Functional Analyst, Functional QA, or similar role.

  • Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, business rules, and process modeling.

  • Hands-on experience with functional software testing.

  • Experience designing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and regression suites.

  • Knowledge of defect management and software testing methodologies.

  • Experience working with REST APIs and tools such as Postman is highly valued.

  • Basic or intermediate SQL knowledge for data validation and functional testing.

  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear and actionable requirements for technical teams.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies and edge cases.

  • Ability to interact confidently with business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Experience working with distributed or global teams.
