Our practice serves patients in California, Arizona, and Oregon. This position is specifically for our California team and is focused exclusively on providing telehealth care to patients located in California.

If you’ve worked in telepsychiatry before, you may know the feeling: high patient volume, short visits, little connection with colleagues, and the sense that you’re a name on a roster rather than a clinician with a voice. Our practice was built to offer something different.

Our practice is co-owned by a practicing PMHNP who continues to see patients every week and leads the clinical side with one guiding question: Would I want to work here, and would I want to be a patient here?

THE ROLE

We’re looking for two full-time PMHNPs to provide psychiatric care through telehealth to patients located in California. Although our practice operates in three states—California, Arizona, and Oregon—this role is exclusively for California.

Our practice operates seven days a week. Providers must agree to work at least two Saturdays or Sundays each month. Beyond this weekend requirement, we offer flexibility in building a full-time schedule that works for both you and your patients.

WHAT MAKES THIS POSITION DIFFERENT

We are a small practice, and we intend to stay that way. We have no plans to grow beyond 25 providers because we want every clinician to remain known, valued, and connected to our management team.

That size gives us the flexibility to individualize each provider’s employment package. Some clinicians prefer more clinical hours and higher compensation. Others value fewer clinical hours and significantly more paid time off. We can work with you to create an arrangement that reflects your priorities while meeting the needs of the practice and our patients.

You will not be treated like a number here. Your goals, preferences, and quality of life matter. You will work directly with a small, accessible management team that has the flexibility to listen and build an individualized agreement with you.

• Your own dedicated virtual assistant: Every full-time provider receives dedicated administrative support.
• An EMR designed for clinicians: Our PMHNP co-owner has spent hundreds of hours customizing our EMR and clinical workflows so that seeing patients feels efficient rather than exhausting.
• Prescription-monitoring reports prepared for you: Our virtual assistants help ensure the necessary California prescription-monitoring information is ready for review, reducing administrative work between appointments.
• Administrative support: We handle scheduling, billing, insurance, credentialing, intake, and technical support.
• Patient-centered appointment lengths: Evaluations are scheduled for 60 minutes, and follow-up visits are scheduled for 30 minutes. You may schedule 60-minute follow-ups whenever a patient needs additional time. Clinical judgment stays with you—not with a billing algorithm.
• Flexible remote scheduling: Work from home while building a full-time schedule within our seven-day operating week.
  

HOW WE BUILD A TEAM IN A FULLY REMOTE PRACTICE

Full-time providers participate in two to three hours of paid meetings and continuing education each week:

• One-hour PMHNP team meeting for case discussions, peer support, and collaboration with colleagues who understand your work.
• One to two hours with a physician, psychiatrist, or guest speaker for continuing education. This program has received excellent feedback, and we are committed to providing high-quality speakers and ongoing professional development.

The rest of your working time is dedicated to you and your patients.

PATIENT POPULATION

Our primary patient population is adults ages 18 and older. Treating adolescents or geriatric patients is entirely optional.

We will prioritize building your caseload around the patients, conditions, and areas of practice you most enjoy. We believe clinicians provide their best care when they are able to do work they find meaningful.

REQUIREMENTS

• Active California PMHNP license in good standing
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Active DEA registration authorizing practice in California
• At least two years of post-licensure outpatient psychiatric experience ******* New graduates are not eligible for this position
• Availability to work full-time
• Willingness to work at least two Saturdays or Sundays per month
• Ability to provide care remotely in a private, professional, and secure setting

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

Full-time employment with an individualized compensation, clinical-hours, and paid-time-off arrangement.
