This role involves reviewing and interpreting technical information, ensuring our practices follow regulatory requirements, and helping manage the documents and rules that guide how we serve customers. This position can be located in Boise, ID or Kennewick, WA. Remote work within the MDU Utilities Group service territories may be considered.

Level I: ($57,110 - $71,390)
- Must possess a working knowledge of business principles and theory at a level normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, engineering, or related field.
Level II: ($63,860 - $79,830).
- Degree requirements of Level I, and;
- Two years’ experience as a Regulatory Analyst I or equivalent experience in rates and regulations of public utility or natural gas pipeline industry or related field.
Level III: ($73,460 - $91,830)
- Degree requirements of Level I, and;
- Four years’ experience as a Regulatory Analyst I or equivalent experience in rates and regulations of public utility or natural gas pipeline industry or related field.
Level IV: ($84,460 - $105,570)
- Degree requirements of Level I, and;
- Six years’ experience as a Regulatory Analyst I or equivalent experience in rates and regulations of public utility or natural gas pipeline industry or related field.

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Conducts research and analysis for a broad range of projects. Gathers, validates and enters data and runs reports on various computer systems.
- Using independent judgment prepares regulatory filings, letters, reports, spreadsheets and other material.
- Assists with the preparation of rate case components which may include revenue requirement, weather normalization, cost of service data and marginal and embedded class cost of service studies, and rate design for internal use and for filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and various state regulatory commissions (collectively, Commissions). Analyze and interpret company financial and statistical data used in all studies.
- Assists in the development of rate strategies and the design that will optimize company profitability.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
