ABOUT THE ROLE

The Regional Sales Manager, West Africa, will manage, coach and develop HemoCue distributors within the assigned region, while building strong relationships with turnkey and pharmaceutical companies across MEA to drive additional business growth.

This position is part of the global sales organization and will be located in Senegal. You will be part of the EMEA Sales team and report to the Director EMEA Sales, responsible for driving regional sales strategy, expanding channel coverage and delivering profitable growth through distributor management and market development across West Africa.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies informed by competitive intelligence and market insights.
  • Manage, coach and develop distributor networks to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Expand channel coverage across key segments including hospitals, blood banks and public health programs.
  • Analyze market dynamics and competitor activity to increase market share and pricing effectiveness.
  • Drive forecasting, reporting and pipeline management to support growth objectives.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences or equivalent.
  • Multiple years of experience managing distributors and channel routes to market in healthcare or diagnostics.
  • Experience in key account management within medical devices or diagnostic products.
  • Experience working within African healthcare markets, preferably West Africa.
  • Fluency in English and French, written and spoken.

TRAVEL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel up to approximately 50% of the time across the region.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU ALSO POSSESS

  • Experience launching new products and driving market access strategies.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional, matrix organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience driving sustained revenue growth in emerging markets.
