The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) is charged with implementing the state's public school laws for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public schools at the direction of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction and State Board of Education.

Recruitment Range: $81,620.00 - $118,673.00

Primary Purpose of The District Improvement and Regional Support:
The District Improvement and Regional Support unit provides statewide leadership to support district improvement through coordinated regional leadership. The unit ensures that regional support is coordinated, coherent, and responsive to local needs by developing and implementing unified improvement strategies that align instructional leadership, curriculum implementation, leadership development, accountability, and programmatic supports. Through strategic planning, data-driven decision making, coaching, and change management, the unit builds the capacity of district and charter leadership teams, advances turnaround and continuous improvement efforts, and strengthens regional systems that improve educator effectiveness and student outcomes. The unit works collaboratively across divisions to ensure districts experience support as one coordinated system rather than as separate or disconnected initiatives.
Minimum Education and Experience

Master's degree in education or the special education field to which assigned from an appropriately accredited institution, and six years of experience in public education, including a minimum of three years in an administrative capacity; or Doctoral degree in education or the special education field to which assigned from an appropriately accredited institution, and three years of experience in public education including two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.EEO Statement
