Position Overview
Play Academy is seeking a proactive, organized, and experienced Part-Time Recruiter to assist with our ongoing hiring needs across multiple markets.
This is a fully remote position, with candidates located in or able to consistently work within the Eastern Time (ET) zone preferred.
This individual will take ownership of the day-to-day recruiting process, including creating and managing job requisitions, sourcing and interviewing candidates, refreshing older job postings, and moving qualified candidates through the hiring process.
We are looking for someone who can dedicate approximately 2 hours per day / up to 10 hours per week and work independently to keep our recruiting pipeline active and organized.
Responsibilities
Create, post, and manage job requisitions/job breakdowns based on current hiring needs
Review and refresh older job postings to increase visibility and candidate activity
Source and identify qualified candidates for open positions
Review applications and resumes
Conduct initial candidate interviews and screenings
Evaluate candidates for qualifications, availability, professionalism, and overall fit
Coordinate next-step interviews with company leadership when needed
Follow up with candidates throughout the recruiting process
Maintain an organized pipeline of active candidates and open positions
Close, update, or repost positions as hiring needs change
Assist with hiring across multiple locations and markets
Provide regular updates on open positions, candidate activity, interviews, and hiring progress
Help identify positions that may require additional recruiting attention or a change in strategy
Maintain consistent communication with the Play Academy team regarding recruiting needs and priorities

Schedule & Location
Fully remote position
Approximately 2 hours per day, Monday–Friday
The 2 daily hours should fall between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Time
This schedule is designed to ensure consistent communication and collaboration with the Play Academy team during normal business hours
Up to 10 hours per week is the expected maximum
The primary focus is successfully moving open positions forward and helping fill current hiring needs
If recruiting volume or workload consistently requires more than 10 hours per week, the schedule and compensation structure can be reviewed and adjusted accordingly
Eastern Time availability preferred
Compensation
$250 flat rate per week
This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
What Success Looks Like
We are looking for someone who will actively own the recruiting pipeline. The priority is not simply completing a set number of hours each week, but keeping open positions moving, maintaining an active candidate pipeline, and helping us successfully place qualified candidates.
The role is structured for up to 10 hours per week, but if hiring demand increases and the workload consistently exceeds that expectation, we are open to reviewing and adjusting the arrangement.

Be comfortable conducting candidate interviews independently
Have experience creating and managing job postings and requisitions
Be highly organized and able to manage multiple open positions at once
Be proactive about refreshing postings and generating new candidate activity
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Be comfortable communicating with candidates by phone, email, and/or text
Be dependable and responsive
Be able to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision
Be comfortable recruiting for multiple positions across different states and markets
Have a strong sense of urgency and follow-through
Experience with Paycom is a plus
Availability to work within Eastern Time business hours is preferred
