Quality Engineer

Our portfolio includes Content Delivery Networks (CDN), Video Origins, Recording Managers, Personalization Platforms, Analytics solutions, and cloud-native technologies that power large-scale video streaming services.

As part of our global Engineering organization, you will help ensure the quality, scalability, reliability, and performance of our products through test automation, performance engineering, tooling, and continuous quality practices.

This role is suitable for engineers across a range of experience levels, from early-career professionals developing automation expertise to experienced engineers leading quality and performance initiatives across complex distributed systems.

What you'll do

Test automation & Quality engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Automate functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop reusable automation libraries, utilities, mock services, and simulators.
• Ensure appropriate automation coverage for new features and releases.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve testing efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.

Performance & Reliability testing

• Design and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity tests.
• Create realistic workload and traffic simulations.
• Analyze performance metrics and identify system bottlenecks.
• Investigate application, infrastructure, and network behaviour under load.
• Support performance benchmarking and system optimization initiatives.
• Produce performance reports and recommendations.

Development & Tooling

• Develop internal testing tools and frameworks using Python and related technologies.
• Support debugging and root-cause analysis by analysing logs, metrics, and system behaviour.
• Build utilities to improve testing efficiency and engineering productivity.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve testability and observability.

Collaboration & Agile delivery

• Participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies.
• Work closely with Software Engineers, Architects, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners, and other Quality Engineers.
• Review automation solutions and testing approaches.
• Contribute to release validation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Share knowledge and mentor team members where appropriate.

Technical skills & Experience

Automation testing

Experience with:

Linux & Systems

• Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Log analysis and system diagnostics.

Knowledge of video streaming protocols and traffic patterns is highly desirable.
