We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead to drive our test automation strategy, quality engineering practices, and overall test excellence across web, API, and/or mobile applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on automation expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to work closely with developers, product managers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and efficient quality processes.
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust automated test frameworks.
Define and execute the overall QA automation strategy and roadmap.
Develop automated tests for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify quality risks and test scenarios early in the SDLC.
Lead test planning, estimation, execution, and reporting for multiple projects/features.
Establish automation standards, coding guidelines, reusable components, and best practices.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, execution speed, reliability, and maintainability.
Perform code reviews for automation scripts and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
Mentor and coach QA engineers on automation, testing techniques, tools, and best practices.
Collaborate with developers and architects to promote shift-left testing and quality engineering.
Track and report quality metrics such as automation coverage, defect trends, flaky tests, test execution results, and release quality.
Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve the QA automation ecosystem.
Contribute to performance, security, accessibility, and other non-functional testing initiatives where required.
7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with significant experience in test automation.
2+ years of experience in a QA Lead / Automation Lead / Senior QA role.
Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent.
Strong experience in API automation and testing using tools/frameworks such as REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or equivalent.
Experience designing scalable and maintainable automation frameworks from the ground up.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, test methodologies, and defect management.
Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Strong knowledge of Git and version control practices.
Experience working with SQL and databases for data validation.
Good understanding of test automation architecture, design patterns, and coding best practices.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
Experience with mobile application automation.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
Experience with test reporting and observability tools.
Knowledge of security, accessibility, and reliability testing practices.
Experience working in large-scale, distributed, or microservices-based applications.
Build and maintain a high-performing QA automation team.
Provide technical direction and establish automation best practices.
Mentor team members and support their technical and career development.
Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and engineering practices.
Partner with engineering leadership to improve release quality and reduce production defects.
Promote a culture where quality is a shared responsibility across engineering and product teams.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
