QA Automation Lead : Playwright with Typescript

About the role
As a QA Automation Lead (Playwright & TypeScript), you will make an impact by developing robust automation frameworks and enabling high quality product delivery across enterprise systems. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering & Assurance team, collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and cross functional stakeholders to strengthen our automation strategy.

In this role, you will:
•    Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
•    Write and execute SQL queries (simple to medium complexity) to validate data accuracy and integrity.
•    Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand enterprise tech stacks and build scalable automation solutions.
•    Design, enhance, and implement automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
•    Analyze and troubleshoot automation test failures, identify root causes, and propose actionable solutions.

What you need to have to be considered
•    8–10 years of experience in a test automation development role using Playwright and TypeScript.
•    Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
•    Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
•    Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ceremonies.
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.

•    Demonstrated ability to optimize automation frameworks for reliability and performance.
•    Experience troubleshooting complex test automation issues across distributed systems.
•    Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non technical teams.
•    Prior experience contributing to code reviews or improving testability within development teams.

Salary and Other Compensation:
•    Applications will be accepted until 02/15/2026.
•    The annual salary for this position is between [$71,100/-  to $112,500/-] depending on experience and other qualifications of the          successful candidate.
•    This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
