Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for new and existing patients
Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and medication management protocols
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with evidence-based practice
Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure holistic patient care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated
Requirements:
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland
Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
DEA license and prescriptive authority in Maryland
Experience in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and psychopharmacology
Strong knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and evidence-based psychiatric treatment modalities
Excellent communication, empathy, and patient engagement skills
Experience with EHR/EMR documentation systems preferred
