Hastings Insurance is seeking a Property Claims Representative (Desk Adjuster) to join our Claim team. This role is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving property claims from initial report through final settlement, all within a desk-based environment. You will play a key role in delivering a smooth and supportive claim experience, balancing customer service with sound decision-making and attention to detail.
This position is posted at our base claim representative level, with flexibility to consider more experienced property adjusters for alignment at a higher level based on background and expertise. Candidates newer to property claims should be located within a reasonable distance of our Hastings, Michigan headquarters to support in-person training and onboarding. Experienced property adjusters may be considered for remote work within our five-state footprint of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, or Wisconsin.
Regardless of location, this role follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule during our core business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
