What this Job Entails:
The Project Specialist II is responsible for delivering and maintaining the network and hardware for external events (both consumer-facing, as well as for our growing developer community), and partnering on our client’s broader internal event initiatives. The role partners closely with internal product and marketing teams, as well as outside agencies, to produce events and workshops at the client site and at trade shows.
The Specialist will to serve as the authoritative lead for telecom/IP network planning, design integrity, and OSS data governance within the Telecom Network Portal (TNP). This role owns the accuracy, completeness, and lifecycle governance of all network design data supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
They will act as the final gatekeeper for engineering submissions, enforcing enterprise standards across internal teams and contractors, while driving consistency in network modeling, design documentation, and system synchronization. This position blends deep technical expertise in telecom/network engineering with OSS platform ownership and data governance leadership.
As a senior resource, they will influence design practices, improve processes, and mentor engineering teams, ensuring that all network elements—connections, circuits, devices, and locations—are reliably modeled and aligned across integrated systems.
Scope:
- Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
- Works on problems of moderate scope
- Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects
- Engineering Governance: Own NRP validation and enforce network design standards and data quality
- OSS & Platform Leadership: Manage CI modeling, data integrity, and platform optimization across systems
- Technical Authority: Validate complex telecom/network designs and resolve data/modeling issues
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with engineers, architects, and product teams; mentor junior staff
- Operational Integrity: Ensure accurate, production-ready network data supporting planning and operations
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
- Drives client projects and events from inception to retrospective.
- Oversees a schedule of events with minimal daily guidance/supervision.
- Directs and manages multiple projects independently.
- Gather event details and requirements from stakeholders, manage planning and execution of events.
- Own the communication cycle with requestors, both internal and external.
- Coordinates with event delivery contributors to ensure successful completion of event goals.
- Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of approved events
- Defines project measurables, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Initiates updates, resolves issues, and identifies process improvements.
- Explains 1st party platforms and also troubleshoots hardware.
- Works with the team to define and document material flow and standard operating procedures.
- Generates metrics and communicates them to internal stakeholders.
- Manages booking, scheduling, and expense reporting for events/travel.
- Provides event support in busier periods, including: unpacking/packing/transporting products and aiding the delivery/shipment of materials as needed.
- Prepares devices for distribution including, but not limited to software updates, flashing devices, and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Builds productive internal and external working relationships
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading skills, and speaking
- 10+ years in telecom/network engineering, OSS platforms, or network operations
- Strong knowledge of IP/MPLS, Ethernet, optical transport, and telecom infrastructure
- Experience with OSS/network inventory tools (e.g., Ericsson ENM, Nokia NSP, Oracle OSS, Bentley)
- Deep understanding of configuration management, discovery/reconciliation, and ITIL practices
- Proven ability to set standards, influence engineers, and drive process improvements
- Experience in regulated/utility environments is a strong plus

Salary Range
$66,120.00 - $104,400.00 USD (Salary)
