Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $107,200 to $178,600 annually, and the good faith estimated starting pay for this position upon hire is $128,610 to $150,045 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location.
Scope of Job:
EDF Renewables is a leading player in the renewable energy industry, committed to leading the transition to a more sustainable energy future. The Project Manager is responsible for leading wind, solar, solar + storage, and/or emerging renewable technology projects from the mid-stage development through Final Investment Decision (FID), construction, commercial operation date (COD), and financial closing. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of a portfolio of projects, leading projects teams safely, managing risks appropriately, while maximizing project profitability.
The Project Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio of projects at various mid stage development and execution stages, ranging from 100MW-600MW, with key objectives to support pipeline growth goals for EDF Renewables while ensuring to deliver solid returns on portfolio.
The Project Manager navigates efficiently within the organization with business acumen on key industry knowledge including development, permitting, land acquisition, strategic procurement, construction & engineering, insurance, tax equity financing, project finance.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
- In charge of the following missions from mid to late development stages to commissioning:
- Spearhead a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects, establishing robust communication channels across internal (development, engineering, construction, legal, interconnection, etc.) and external stakeholders, fostering a cooperative, motivated, and successful team, and ensuring that projects are effectively resourced.
- Conduct project reviews for Senior Leadership - in accordance with EDFR procedures.
- Facilitate and prepare recommendations on key project decisions.
- Secure investment approvals from EDF entities through active involvement and close collaboration with Management and key stakeholders. Investment approvals include Investment memos to shareholders, Project Final Investment Decision milestone and any variances requesting approval.
- Oversee the construction phase of projects and contribute to major operational decisions until commercial operation.
- Ensure thorough project planning by developing, maintaining, and executing comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with EDF overarching objectives.
- Maintain a comprehensive project schedule and ensure stakeholders and activities are coordinated and integrated. Approve all schedule changes.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risk, ensuring projects remain on track and withing approved criteria.
- Consistently and proactively identify, evaluate, and monitor project risks and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. The primary responsible person for coordinating and reporting risk analysis/management of assigned projects.
- Prepare a project budget. Be accountable for monitoring project costs, cash flow schedules, and financial metrics working closely with finance team to ensure profitability, including financial commitments. Approve all changes to the established budget.
- Monitor, and report on key project financial indicators, validating financial proforma model inputs, and seeking opportunities to amplify shareholder value.
- Engage in strategy formulation and execution for Tax Equity financing and Divestiture & Sale of Structured Assets, ensuring the project remains financially viable.
- Ensure project compliance with all contracts, agreements, and permits by reviewing and approving a clear contract and permit management responsibilities matrix established the Team, and maintaining meticulous records per EDF RE policies.
- Throughout the Project lifecycle, manage Project lessons learned through the existing process, making sure they are documented.
- Manage the handover of the facility, including all project-related documents, to the project owner, financing partners, or O&M (Asset Manager);
- Support internal initiatives to improve tools/processes.
- Tackle other assigned duties.
Supervision of Others: No direct report supervision. However, proficiency in managing a project team within a matrix structure is crucial.
Working Conditions:
75% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 25% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or relevant field of study
- 5+ years of progressive project management experience of complex projects and/or equivalent training.
- PMP certification preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Requires in-depth knowledge of the renewable energy industry, experience in negotiations, attention to contractual details, and ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis in the context of project management and execution.
- Ability to navigate efficiently within the organization with business acumen on key industry knowledge including development, permitting, land acquisition, strategic procurement, construction & engineering, insurance, tax equity financing, project finance.
- Adaptability to new contexts, risks, and new technologies.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and precisely with the executive management, provide steering recommendation to Leadership, as a "steward of the project investment".
- Extensive experience in project management best practices including budget, schedule, and risk evaluation; statistical modeling is a plus.
- Ability to handle high-stress levels and high complexity to materialize and deliver multi-hundred-million-dollar projects safely and within the approved investment criteria.
- Proactively identifying risks and issues and developing a clear corrective action plan.
- Skills to provide analytics and lead opportunities to capture value beyond the approved envelope.
- Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, leadership and communication skills which extend across all organizational and management levels.
- Gradual experience in managing high stake projects and leading project teams, and recognized for your ability to work cooperatively and make critical decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication skills required.
- Demonstrate leadership of cross-functional teams in a matrix organization: ability to indirectly manage multiple people from all types of fields of expertise.

Physical Requirements: Normal office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
