About the Opportunity
On behalf of our client, we are hiring a Project Manager to support their fast-moving engineering team building AI-driven products. Our client is a leading Australian technology organization specializing in personalization, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and experiment-driven consumer web platforms.
Joining the team as a Project Manager, you will run day-to-day operations as a Scrum Master, keeping workflows moving seamlessly through Jira while ensuring projects land successfully on schedule. In this role, you will coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineers, designers, and QA analysts, while actively building delivery systems and automations using modern AI tools and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to accelerate shipping without drowning the team in unnecessary bureaucracy.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Delivery: Scope, plan, schedule, and drive software projects to delivery on time and within budget, ensuring risks and dependencies are surfaced early.
  
• Agile Facilitation: Act as the team's Scrum Master by running sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives while actively removing technical blockers.
  
• Backlog Management: Groom backlogs and write Jira tickets for engineering, design, and QA teams with clear, well-scoped acceptance criteria.
  
• Workflow Automation: Architect and maintain advanced Jira automations (such as ticket routing, status transitions, and role handoffs) to eliminate manual overhead.
  
• Data & Analytics: Establish clear Jira dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide transparency into team velocity, progress, and operational bottlenecks.
  
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate directly across technical and creative roles, translating technical details into commercial context for business stakeholders.
  
• Process Innovation: Optimize engineering delivery frameworks utilizing AI tools and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to automate repetitive coordination and reporting tasks.
  
• Ecosystem Integration: Maintain complete workflow traceability by connecting Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) with GitHub branches, pull requests, and releases.
  

Requirements

• 6+ years of proven experience managing complex software projects and shipping cross-functional products on time.
  
• High proficiency within the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) and GitHub, including a strong track record of integrating the two platforms.
  
• Extensive experience building custom Jira automations, workflows, reporting structures, and agile dashboards.
  
• Practical understanding of modern web deployment workflows (ideally Vercel), CI/CD pipelines, pull requests, and software release processes.
  
• Hands-on experience designing workflows or process automations using AI tools and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
