Project Designer, Structural (India)

As a Project Designer, Structural you will work within a team to take design and constructions 
projects from a defined concept to completion. You will design building systems, perform 
engineering calculations, produce construction documents, and prepare technical 
documentation while working collaboratively to coordinate your work across an integrated 
team of other designers, architects, and engineers. In addition to following WD Partners values, policies and procedures, the primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Ensures own work, and the work of junior team members, is of a high quality, free 
  from error, in compliance with applicable codes, follows the firm’s engineering 
  standards, and meets the expectations of the clients
• Produce designs and calculations for building systems
• Produce system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, reports, and specifications
• Maintain knowledge of applicable building codes
• Utilize industry software in the execution of your work including AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office, and other design software
• Communicate with project lead on the status of your individual work as it relates to scope, milestones, project timelines and deliverables
• Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team to deliver informed and constructible project solutions

Necessary Experience:

• Structural Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience
• Prior work experience in Architecture and designing
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience working with projects in a variety of related client industries, such as restaurant, retail, and/or healthcare
