Overview

E2 is hiring a Project Biologist. This is a Remote, Part-Time On-Call role. 

Responsibilities

• Prevent damage to trees marked for protection, root systems, and overhead branches.
• Biological Survey: assess habitats, like nests and other dwellings for birds, bats or other biological species as needed in the area.
• Conduct Avian Survey in accordance with the project scope of work.
• Perform a survey of possible habitats the morning of or day before the beginning of clearing activities.
• Be present for tree clearing activities.
• Prepare to and rescue any downed nests.
• Mitigation measures shall depend on the level of protection a given species is under; mitigation measures may include delay of tree clearing entirely or attempting to rescue nests, as directed by the biologist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or Wildlife Ecology or a similar field, with experience in avian biology.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Biological Survey Reports: included in the Property File and included, at minimum.
• Documentation of biological surveys in or near the work area where a survey is necessary.
• Mitigation measures taken, if any.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Pay range for this position is $40 - $50/hour.  The starting pay will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
