Position Snapshot

The Program Director will provide strategic leadership and managerial oversight for renewable energy programs, with a focus on utility-scale wind development and execution in Texas. This role involves developing and implementing initiatives that drive the growth and success of renewable energy projects (with a specific focus on Texas wind projects), requiring ERCOT market awareness,  cross-functional project delivery.

Position Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in the renewable energy sector. Direct experience with Texas wind projects, including development, permitting, interconnection, construction coordination, or asset delivery, strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of renewable energy technologies, market trends, and regulatory frameworks. Familiarity with Texas wind development, ERCOT market and interconnection processes, transmission considerations, landowner relations, and local permitting requirements preferred. 

 

Position Responsibility

  • Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans for renewable energy programs aligned with company objectives and industry standards.
  • Texas Wind Program Leadership: Lead strategy and execution for Texas wind initiatives, coordinating development, engineering, procurement, construction, interconnection, commercial, and regulatory activities from origination through project delivery.
  • Project Management: Oversee development and construction of Texas wind projects, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation. Accountable for project execution from late-stage development through COD.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, ERCOT and transmission entities, landowners, industry partners, and community organizations, to advance renewable energy projects.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop high-performing teams while fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulatory, permitting, and interconnection requirements. Prepare and present reports on project performance, risks, and overall program impact.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $150,000 -$180,000 annually.  Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors, such as the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
