About the Organization:
Steelhead Collective is best understood as a “field catalyst” that empowers organizations seeking to conserve wild steelhead and advocate for sustainable steelhead fisheries, primarily in British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and California. The Collective currently convenes seven participating organizations to develop coordinated strategies and to share knowledge, information, and resources. It also identifies capacity gaps and strategic projects of range-wide relevance and raises funds to fill capacity gaps and implement priority projects.
Position Summary:
The Program and Operations Manager plays a central role in helping advance the Steelhead Collective’s strategic vision, partnerships, and collaborative conservation initiatives while also ensuring strong operational coordination across the Collective’s work.
Working closely with the project director, project facilitator, participating organizations, and key partners, the Program and Operations Manager will gain meaningful exposure to coalition stewardship, facilitation, strategy development, fundraising, organizational operations, and collaborative governance within a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage work streams and information hygiene for the Collective’s funded conservation projects to ensure clear assignments and timely task completion
- Plan and coordinate in-person retreats, including finding venues, securing food and beverage service, insurance, coordinating attendee travel logistics, tracking essential agenda items and coordinating with facilitators on design, and leading logistical and operational planning that enables effective convening and collaborative decision-making
- Facilitate contracting and grant-making between Multiplier and the Collective’s participating organizations and other entities
- Build and maintain respectful and productive relationships with participating organizations
- Ensure strategic follow-through and coordination across key initiatives, and coordinating with the project facilitator on agenda items for all group meetings
- Assist director with strategic and organizational planning, and fundraising

Specific Experience Requested:
We recognize that each applicant for this role will bring unique skills, knowledge, experiences, and background to this position, lending his/her/their flair to the trajectory of the Program and Operations Manager role. - 5+ years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility, including 2+ years working in a collaborative or multi-stakeholder project

- Understanding of or willingness to learn the particularities of steelhead biology and steelhead management processes
- Understanding of or willingness to learn the particularities of steelhead sport fisheries
Workplace, Compensation & Application
Workplace & Travel:
- The position can be located in Washington, Oregon, northern California or British Columbia.
- All team members work from home offices.
- Travel is required for two in-person retreats annually and occasionally for project meetings and site visits.
- Valid driver’s license and passport required
Compensation: Multiplier provides a comprehensive compensation package, including competitive salary ($90k-102k annual salary), excellent medical and dental benefits, retirement savings, and generous vacation and sick leave policy.
