AI Summary

The Product Manager will take full end-to-end ownership of multiple Shopify applications, managing the entire lifecycle from validation to optimization. Key duties include backlog prioritization, conducting user research, and collaborating with leadership on the long-term strategic roadmap.

Our client is an innovative, top-tier Shopify agency driven by a singular objective: "Making E-Commerce Easy." They excel at transforming complex technical bottlenecks into sustainable scaling opportunities for high-growth startups and established mid-sized businesses alike.

Operating on foundations of transparency, peer-level collaboration, and human-centric engineering, they build holistic digital experiences rather than just standalone software. Scope of Responsibilities

In this position, you will assume full, cradle-to-grave ownership of multiple Shopify applications. Acting as both the strategic visionary and the operational anchor, you will guarantee that every deployed feature is valuable, straightforward, and highly attuned to user needs.

  • Full-Lifecycle Product Management: Oversee new app features from initial validation, conceptual layout, and technical scoping straight through to rollout and continuous post-launch optimization.
  • Backlog Grooming & Selection: Independently organize, refine, and prioritize the product backlog. Serve as the definitive gatekeeper for inbound feature requests, internal stakeholder feedback, and Customer Success tickets.
  • In-Depth User Discovery: Validate actual user pain points by combining qualitative and quantitative research methods, using tools like direct interviews, heatmaps, and drop-off analysis.
  • Technical Spec Writing: Convert complex conceptual ideas into engineering-ready Jira issues, crafting distinct user stories, rigorous acceptance criteria, and airtight product documentation.
  • Metrics & Analytics: Establish precise KPI baselines prior to engineering sprints and perform rigorous post-launch reviews to ensure product iterations are strictly data-informed.
  • Strategic Roadmap Collaboration: Partner directly with company leadership to craft the long-term product vision, orchestrating major epics, managing cross-functional dependencies, and justifying prioritization choices with data.
  • Greenfield Innovation: Keep a close eye on broader e-commerce trends to draft entirely new application concepts, validating them with preliminary market analysis and commercial business cases before execution.

Expected Profile

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated PM Expertise: 2+ years of independent product ownership, ideally delivering digital products within agile development frameworks.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: High proficiency with modern product analytics infrastructure (e.g., PostHog, Mixpanel, Tableau) to build testable hypotheses and accurately quantify feature performance.
  • Structured Prioritization: Practical command of objective frameworks (such as RICE or ICE) to make logical trade-offs when facing strict resource or timeline constraints.
  • User-First DNA: A dedicated champion for the end-user, possessing a verified ability to convert qualitative behavioral insights into successful software solutions.
  • Timing: Ready to onboard and begin actively working by August 1st at the latest.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Background operating within B2B/B2C SaaS models or deep familiarity with the Shopify and e-commerce landscape.
  • Foundational grasp of Product Marketing mechanics, including Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, user onboarding refinement, and retention loops.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple distinct software products or complex feature sets simultaneously without losing focus.

  • High Operational Freedom: Take full, end-to-end responsibility for live software products where your strategic decisions directly influence agency growth.
  • Protected Learning Time: 10% of your standard working hours are strictly locked away for your personal upskilling, research projects, and professional certifications.
  • Total Remote Flexibility: Work from any location within Germany via fully digital workflows, alongside opportunities to participate in international company workations.
