The Product Manager will translate customer needs and business goals into clear requirements to drive the development of merchant-focused products. They are responsible for managing the product roadmap, conducting discovery, and coordinating cross-functionally for successful feature launches.
We’re currently looking for a Product Manager who will take a key role on our United States location-neutral team.
This individual will work alongside four other team members, while also collaborating cross-functionally with teams across the organization. They will translate customer needs and business goals into clearly articulated requirements, driving the development of products that acquire and retain merchants.
In this role, we value someone who leads with a clear understanding of the problem before reaching for the solution, operates with a high degree of self-sufficiency in a lean team environment, and brings enough technical and business depth to connect customer needs, partner constraints, and engineering execution into a clear path forward.
What You’ll Do
Discovery & Prioritization
- Conducting merchant interviews and participating in reseller calls to understand pain points firsthand, while also synthesizing support tickets, feature requests, Pendo data, and usage metrics to build a complete picture of customer and partner needs.
- Synthesizing discovery inputs into clear problem statements that align the team around what is being solved and why before solutioning begins.
- Partnering with the broader product team to prioritize what gets built and when, with decisions weighted heavily toward features that drive revenue growth.
Roadmap Stewardship & Launch Readiness
- Maintaining and executing against a product roadmap that balances new features, platform improvements, and technical debt.
- Clearly communicating the reasoning behind roadmap decisions to engineering, marketing, operations, and partner teams so everyone understands not just what is being built but why.
- Owning launch readiness by coordinating across teams to ensure messaging, documentation, partner communications, and engineering work are all aligned and complete before a feature ships.
Data-Informed Decision Making & Requirements
- Using product analytics tools to analyze feature adoption and user behavior, and translating that data into a clear narrative that builds the case for what should be built, changed, or deprioritized.
- Translating customer and business needs into clear specs, user stories, or PRDs that engineering can build from.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Embedded in the engineering team's daily rhythm, attending standups, refinements, and sprint planning, and reviewing completed work to ensure it meets the intended product outcome before release.
- Partnering with marketing to review content, walk through feature use cases, and ensure messaging accurately reflects what the product is designed to do.
- Working with operations to share product requirements, review documentation, and train the team on how new features work so they can effectively support merchants after launch.
- Collaborating with the partnership team to gather and incorporate feedback from resellers and acquirers, and to coordinate release timing and communications so external partners are informed and prepared for every product change.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- 2-8 years of product management experience shipping in-house software.
- A demonstrated track record of shipping software products from concept to release.
- Curiosity and determination to find answers even if they aren't easily available, and the ability to operate comfortably in ambiguity while driving toward clarity.
- A natural collaborator who can bring together people and ideas across engineering, marketing, operations, and partner teams to move work forward.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the organizational discipline to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Payments or fintech domain experience, familiarity with acquiring, processing, card network rules, or merchant services.
- Comfort working with product analytics tools and the ability to use data to support and defend product decisions.
