Job DetailsThis position reports to the Vice President of Product Line Management and is responsible for leading Go!Foton’s Fiber Cable Assembly product line. The role focuses on driving growth in Data Center, Optical Networking and Telecommunications markets.
The Product Line Manager serves as a business leader, owning the full product lifecycle—including strategy, roadmap, new product introduction (NPI), pricing, and profitability (P&L). This role is accountable for achieving revenue, growth, and market share objectives over the product line’s lifecycle. This individual is also a key contributor to the supply chain management of fiber cable and connectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead product development initiatives to meet customer and market needs, address product gaps, and generate new product ideas that drive growth and enhance customer experience
Develop, implement, and maintain pricing strategies, demand forecasts, S&OP processes, and lifecycle plans
Create and guide product promotion strategies, including technical documentation, ordering guides, and web-based catalogs
Partner with sales and account management teams to develop and execute product sales strategies that achieve market share goals
Define and maintain product and marketing roadmaps to ensure long-term success
Collaborate with operations to optimize inventory levels, improve product availability, and ensure lead-time performance
Participate in fiber cable and connector vendor discussions to drive delivery schedules, configurations, and component qualification
Analyze market trends and competitive offerings to position products effectively
Act as the product line leader, providing vision and direction across cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, sales, customer service, and field applications)
Serve as the subject matter expert for the product line and the components supply into the products
Maintain industry and technical knowledge through research, networking, and professional development
Prioritize initiatives based on business impact and customer value
Perform other duties as assigned
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of fiber optics, including fiber cable types and construction (e.g., fire ratings, jacket materials, ribbon types, and related specifications)
Prior experience in telecommunications or data communications preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar analytical tools
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
3+ years of product management experience with full lifecycle ownership
Experience in telecommunications, data centers, or data communications is a plus
Travel
Travel required up to 10-25% for customer visits, trade shows, supplier visits and occasional travel overseas (e.g. to China and the Philippines).
