ABOUT OUTMARKET

Outmarket is building the next-generation AI platform for commercial insurance. Our tools help brokers, MGAs, and carriers automate critical workflows and unlock insights from complex data. We are already working with forward-thinking agencies and are growing quickly.

Our team brings experience from Uber, Meta, Adobe, and IBM Watson, and we move fast from concept to launch. We value curiosity, strong judgment, and a willingness to learn by doing.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a Product Intern to support product discovery, execution, and learning across the platform. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to understand how strong product teams work inside a fast-moving, AI-native company. It is not a passive observer role.

You will work closely with experienced product leaders, engineers, and founders on customer-facing features and internal product processes.

WHY THIS ROLE

  • Gain direct exposure to how product decisions get made in a high-growth environment.

  • Work on features that move from concept to launch quickly.

  • Learn from experienced product, engineering, and company leaders.

  • Build practical experience in user research, product specs, testing, and analytics.

  • Have the opportunity to convert to a full-time role based on performance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Help write product specs and document feature requirements.

  • Support user research and synthesize findings to inform product and design decisions.

  • Test new features, gather user feedback, and work with engineers to prioritize improvements.

  • Analyze user behavior and help define product success metrics.

  • Shadow customer conversations and help translate business problems into product opportunities.

  • Contribute to real product work rather than only internal side projects.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Business, Product, Design, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in building software products and learning how they go to market.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High organization, initiative, and willingness to take ownership.

  • Curiosity about AI, workflow software, and customer-centered product development.

  • Good product instincts and the confidence to ask sharp questions.

BONUS IF YOU HAVE

  • Experience with side projects, student ventures, or product-focused academic work.

  • Exposure to design sprints, user research, or basic analytics.

  • Interest in AI, workflow automation, or vertical software.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

  • Hands-on experience working with AI, data, and workflow products.

  • Mentorship from experienced product leaders and engineers.

  • Remote flexibility and a high-trust environment.

  • The opportunity to grow into a full-time role.
