As the Ninety organization continues to experience exceptional growth, we are looking to bring on a Product Designer

As a Product Designer, you will report to the Head of Design and use your skills to deliver and build robust, intuitive UX patterns, and produce exceptionally designed and easy to use products. You will work closely with product managers to ensure designs meet product requirements and with developers to ensure ideas can be brought to life. You will play a very important role in our product development process. 


To be successful in this role you need to be well versed in designing and building intuitive user experiences. A background in successfully designing responsive web applications and mobile apps is a must. 


This position will require working with an existing suite of tools, along with developing new tools in the coming years. 


To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 5+ years in a similar UI/UX role with a proven record of success 
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas well 
  • An understanding of wireframing and tools
  • Experience with Figma, Figma Make, or similar design software
  • Worked in an agile environment


Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply design-thinking methodologies to drive evidence-based design decisions
  • Leverage research tools to efficiently gather, analyze, and share user insights across the product development lifecycle
  • Present key findings to stakeholders
  • Navigate ambiguity and complexity while maintaining design quality
  • Create intuitive user experience
  • Design and prototype new features and ideas for current and next-generation products
  • Work closely with product managers to ensure designs meet product requirements and with developers to ensure ideas can be brought to life
  • Work closely with brand teams to ensure designs meet brand requirements
  • Contribute to all stages of the design process from brainstorming, research, create wireframes, mockups, user flows, interactive prototypes and refine user experiences
  • Communicate design goals and specifications to the engineering team
  • Conceptualize, design and execute modern, complex digital designs and product experiences, including user interfaces and product flows for desktop and mobile applications
  • Have a deep understanding of typography, color, grid, and composition in pixel-perfect production comps and prototypes
  • Develop and perform usability sessions, conduct user research with key stakeholders and customers to get feedback
  • Synthesize your research findings to develop user workflows, information architecture, and prototypes
  • Building process flows, storyboards, and / or other methods for communicating product design ideas for stakeholders
  • Be actively involved in defining the strategy of the Ninety Platform, thinking in terms of design systems, not just screens
  • Represent the UX voice and be an advocate for the user in all conversations when collaborating closely with developers and product managers. 
  • Maintain, innovate upon, and surpass industry best practices for UX and product design methods, trends, and processes.


What Success Looks Like:

  • Rapidly design and prototype iterative concepts, collaborating with users and stakeholders to test assumptions and validate product ideas
  • Have a deep understanding of typography, color, grid, and composition in pixel-perfect production mocks and prototypes
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to deliver compelling UI/UX solutions.
  • Help lead projects across the entire product lifecycle and multiple product launches.
  • Perform research with users of the 90 platform, which can include clients, staff, and more.
  • Synthesize your research findings to develop user workflows, information architecture, and prototypes.
  • Work with the design team on developing and stewarding the long-term UX strategy for our internal tools to make design a natural part in the way we build products with the developer teams.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to contribute to design consistency by adhering to design patterns and contributing to the design system through reusable components and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process, visual craft, and ability to solve complex product problems
  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UX or product design
  • Strong user empathy and ability to balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints
  • Ability to work in a fully remote environment 
  • Worked in a high-growth entrepreneurial environment 
  • SaaS Experience
  • Experience building end to end prototypes both in low/high fidelity prototypes using tools like Figma and Figma Make,
  • Firm grasp of responsive design principles
  • Experience bringing AI agents to life in customer-facing products

Nice to Haves: 

  • Understanding of technical constraints to effectively collaborate with engineers and make pragmatic design decisions
  • Taken a product through its full lifecycle (starting from scratch) 
  • SMB B2B experience
  • Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and commitment to designing inclusive experiences
