Job Summary

The Processing Manager is responsible for ensuring the processing function achieves maximum production. Primary responsibilities include the supervision of a team of loan processors to ensure that mortgage loan packages are processed according to established policies and procedures of the Company and applicable Investors and/or Agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the processing function focused on daily workflow and pipeline management. Works closely with the production team to ensure loans are moving through the approval process.
  • Provides and promotes a high standard of customer service for internal and external customers. Ensures the processing team is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Performs human resource management activities including evaluating performance, recruiting and retaining top talent.
  • Handles exception items. Resolves complex and escalated items.
  • Tracks performance and monitors daily business. Prepares, reviews and distributes reports.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

  • Minimum five years mortgage processing experience
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience required

Functional/Technical Skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workflow and priorities
  • Full understanding of retail loan processing/closing requirements
  • Working knowledge of mortgage loan documents, loan origination program and underwriting guidelines
  • Demonstrates a commitment to quality customer service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Direct experience in coaching and mentoring others
  • Proficient in all compliance-related regulations including RESPA
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office products) and experience with mortgage origination systems

Work is typically performed in a standard office environment.
