The Role and Impact

Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop scalable and reusable block, subsystem, and SoC verification plans, test benches, and environments that align with microarchitecture specifications.
- Execute verification plans and run emulation and system simulation models to validate designs, ensuring power and performance goals are met while identifying and resolving bugs.
- Investigate, root-cause, and debug issues in presilicon environments, implementing corrective measures to address failing tests.
- Collaborate with SoC architects, microarchitects, RTL developers, postsilicon, and physical design teams to enhance verification of architectural and microarchitectural features.
- Document test plans and lead technical reviews, ensuring alignment with design and architecture teams.
- Incorporate security activities into verification workflows, including regression and debug tests, to maintain high levels of security coverage.
- Maintain and improve the functional verification infrastructure and methodology, adapting processes based on learning from postsilicon activities to enhance validation quality.
- Formulate technical strategies and align organizational goals with Intel's vision for delivering leadership solutions.
- Act as a mentor, coach, and role model, fostering talent within the organization and driving technical excellence across Intel and the broader industry.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 15+ years of industry experience
- Proficiency in System Verilog, OVM, and UVM for development of verification environments and test benches.
- Expertise in SoC functional logic verification, including design for verification (DFV), test content development, and test planning.
- Extensive experience with debugging, hardware simulation, and hardware validation techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of digital design fundamentals, systems architecture, and SoC microarchitecture principles.
- Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including SoC feature test writing and integration.
- Demonstrated capability in root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures for pre-silicon failures.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree with 12+ years, or a PhD with 8+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with
- Strong leadership experience with a track record of mentoring, coaching, and building technical teams.
- Expertise in system architecture and CPU architecture fundamentals.
- History of influencing technical direction both within an organization and across the semiconductor industry.
- Proficiency in fostering collaboration across diverse, cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver solutions.
- Clear and effective communication skills to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $220,920.00-311,890.00 USD
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work Model for this Role
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
