Join us and be a part of a team that makes a tangible difference in the world around us.   About the Role Ray Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Practice Leader to provide technical leadership and mentorship to our forensic and structural engineering team. This remote, part-time role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about developing engineers, ensuring technical excellence, and supporting the continued growth of our forensic engineering practice. The Practice Leader will serve as a trusted technical resource, providing guidance on complex building investigations, reviewing engineering work products, and fostering strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to engineering staff to support their professional growth and development.  Review engineering reports, calculations, studies, and other technical deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency with industry standards and company expectations.  Advise project teams on complex forensic investigations involving structural failures, construction defects, moisture intrusion, building envelope performance, and related building science issues.  Support engineers in developing technically sound conclusions, repair recommendations, and defensible engineering opinions.  Promote consistent application of structural engineering and building science principles across projects.  Serve as a technical resource for challenging projects and assist with problem-solving and engineering judgment.  Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while supporting the continued growth and reputation of the firm's forensic engineering practice.  Collaborate with company leadership on technical standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.  Qualifications 20+ years of experience evaluating and assessing structural damage, construction defects, moisture intrusion, and other building performance issues.  Extensive knowledge of forensic engineering, structural engineering, and building science principles.  Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing technical reports, engineering studies, structural calculations, and repair recommendations.  Strong understanding of residential, commercial, and multi-family building systems, including structural components and building envelopes.  Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers while providing constructive technical guidance.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients and internal teams.  Experience supporting client relationships and serving as a trusted technical advisor is strongly preferred.   What We Offer Comprehensive Health Benefits: We offer comprehensive coverage for employee’s medical needs.
