The specialist will be responsible for analyzing existing OpenShift/OKD platforms, preparing the target Kubernetes environment, and migrating application workloads by converting OpenShift resources to Kubernetes equivalents. This includes adapting CI/CD pipelines and providing validation and support throughout the migration process.

Job Title: Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)
Work Regime: Full-time & Full-remote Overview / Summary: We are looking for a Kubernetes Specialist to join a technical, team responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of a migration project. The focus is on hands-on technical work to support the migration of applications from one container platform to another.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Analyse existing platform and applications running on OpenShift / OKD, reviewing configurations, identifying platform-specific components, and mapping service dependencies.
- Prepare the target environment on Kubernetes by configuring namespaces, RBAC permissions, networking, ingress, and storage.
- Migrate workloads to Kubernetes, converting OpenShift resources (e.g., DeploymentConfigs, Routes) into Kubernetes equivalents and updating deployment manifests.
- Adapt CI/CD pipelines and automation, replacing OpenShift-specific tooling and integrating with external CI/CD systems where required.
- Validate and support the migration, testing application functionality and performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with development teams to adjust images, configurations, and pipelines.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- +5 years of experience with container platforms, including migrating workloads from OKD / Red Hat OpenShift to standard Kubernetes.
- Experience Kubernetes resource architecture, including mapping OpenShift resources (DeploymentConfigs, Routes, BuildConfigs) to Kubernetes equivalents.
- Advanced understanding of Kubernetes security, including RBAC, Pod Security, NetworkPolicies, and OpenShift SCC.
- Experience building and integrating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes networking, storage, and configuration management (Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, persistent volumes).
- Ability to lead technical migrations, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with development teams.
