Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours remote/per week

Classification: Full-Time, hourly (non-exempt, overtime eligible)

Summary

Working under the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy, the Physical Therapy/Remote Therapy Monitor (PTA/TRM) provides patient-centered care by delivering treatment and therapeutic techniques in a remote/telehealth environment. This role includes documenting patient progress, remotely reviewing and updating patients' rehab process and instructing/updating patients' home exercise routines. The PTA/RTM contributes to achieving optimal patient outcomes while supporting the efficient operations of the Physical Therapy department.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote sessions via SMS, phone call, facetime, or video.
• Supports individual sessions in accordance with treatment plans, including areas of ADL, functional mobility, ROM, strength, coordination, cognitive/perceptual remediation, and functional maintenance.
• Facilitate smooth department operations by performing administrative tasks and clerical duties.
• Communicate formally and informally with team members to coordinate the total rehabilitation program for patients.
• Report on patient condition to appropriate supervisors and staff and assists with care coordination as directed.
• Develop clinical knowledge and skills necessary to support evaluation and treatment of patients.
• Perform tasks within the scope of educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by AOC policies, state, and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Actively licensed PTA in the state of Florida

Preferred:

• 1+ years previous therapy experience
• Orthopedic experience desirable
