You will manage the end-to-end content production, platform strategy, and monetization for Dr. Marisol's personal brand across multiple digital channels. Additionally, you will oversee travel logistics, speaking engagements, and brand collaborations to drive audience growth and revenue.
The role in one line
You turn everything Dr. Marisol films, says, writes and teaches into a living content
engine — and you make sure she's in the right rooms, on the right stages and in the right
podcasts to grow it.
About Be Well Queen
Be Well Queen is Dr. Marisol's personal platform: nature cure, ancient healing systems,
and the independent review of retreats, healing places and sacred sites around the
world. She visits, she pays her own way, and she tells people the truth about what she
found. It sits alongside Queen of the Thrones®, her castor oil wellness brand.
YouTube is the priority channel, with an audio podcast launching alongside it from the
same recordings. Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest support and feed
those two.
Who we're speaking to
The audience has three rings, and the content has to work for all of them
- The core — practitioners, naturopaths, functional medicine doctors, and people
already deep in the healing and spiritual world. They come for the rigour. They'll
know if a review is soft or a tradition is misrepresented, and they're the ones who
refer others.
- The wider ring — CEOs, founders, investors and senior professionals carrying real
stress, who already understand wellness is worth paying for. The audience that
watches Diary of a CEO, Mel Robbins and Jay Shetty. They aren't "woo," but they're
open, they're time-poor, and they book a $5K retreat without flinching.
- The aspirational ring — people who can't afford a retreat in Peru or Lourdes right
now and travel there through the screen instead. They won't convert this year. They
are also, by volume, most of the watch time — and watch time is what grows the
channel.
What connects all three is a cast of mind, not a demographic. They're curious about
history and mythology, drawn to sacred places, and interested in why a tradition has
survived three thousand years. Some practice a religion and some don't, but they're
open to all of them and allergic to being told there's only one way. They'd rather hear
what the Greeks, the Ayurvedic texts and the pilgrims at Lourdes each understood about
the body than be handed a protocol. Treat them as intelligent and well-read, because
they are.
Nothing gets written off. Content should be credible enough for a practitioner, framed
for a stressed founder, and beautiful enough that someone who'll never book it watches
to the end.
What you'll own
1. Content production
- Take raw footage — retreats, travel, teaching, interviews, phone video — and turn it
into finished content: YouTube long-form, Reels, TikToks, Shorts, LinkedIn video,
Pinterest pins.
- Build storylines, not clips. Every piece sits inside a narrative arc — a series, a
journey, a teaching sequence — so the audience has a reason to come back.
- Direct the capture too: tell Marisol what to film, what's missing, and what B-roll a
story needs before she's on location, not after.
- Build and manage a freelance editing bench. You have budget to hire editors on
Fiverr, Upwork or elsewhere. You source them, test them, write the briefs, set the
templates, quality-check every deliverable, and replace the ones who don't hold the
standard. You keep the hooks, the storyline and the final call; you delegate the
mechanical cutting.
- Keep the content calendar full without Marisol having to chase it.
2. Platform strategy and monetization
- YouTube first. Channel architecture, series structure, thumbnails, titles, packaging,
retention and publishing rhythm. This is the flagship, judged on subscriber and
watch-time growth.
- Launch and run the audio podcast — same recordings cut for audio, distributed to
Apple, Spotify and YouTube Music, with show notes, guest coordination, episode art
and a consistent release schedule.
- LinkedIn is a priority, not an afterthought. The practitioner, doctor and founder
audience lives there, and it now monetizes properly: BrandLink ad revenue share on
video, Thought Leader Ads where brands pay to amplify a creator's post, the Creator
Marketplace, newsletters and Live. You should know how these work and how to get
onto them.
- Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest — understand how each differs in
algorithm, format, hook length and cadence, and what each is actually for. Pinterest
in particular is under-used in this space and drives long-tail search traffic to the site
and retreat pages for years.
- Know how each platform pays: YouTube Partner Program, podcast sponsorship,
TikTok creator rewards, Instagram affiliate and brand partnerships, LinkedIn's
monetization suite and lead value — plus the real money, which is retreats, books,
products, courses and speaking fees.
- Source, pitch and close brand collaborations. Wellness, supplement, travel,
hospitality and practitioner-tool companies all pay for access to this audience. You
build the media kit and rate card, identify the right partners, pitch them, negotiate
deliverables and fees, manage production and reporting, and bring the renewals
home. Know what a fair rate looks like per platform and per format — integrated
YouTube segment, podcast host-read, Reel, LinkedIn post, bundled campaign — and
don't leave money on the table.
- Negotiate post-review partnerships with retreats and destinations. This is a
distinct revenue stream with a strict sequence. Marisol visits and pays her own way.
The honest review publishes. Only then, for places she'd genuinely send people to,
you negotiate a partnership: a tracked discount code unique to her audience, so the
venue can see exactly who came from her, plus a referral commission back. You
handle the outreach, terms, tracking, reporting and renewals.
- The sequence is not flexible and it is the basis of the whole platform. Never pre-
arrange a code, never accept a comped stay in exchange for coverage, never let a
pending deal touch a verdict. Places that review poorly get no code.
- Know the disclosure rules cold — Canadian Ad Standards, FTC for US partners, ASA
for UK — and make sure every paid placement, affiliate code and partnership is
properly disclosed.
- Report monthly on what's working, in plain numbers, with a recommendation
attached.
3. Website, blog and email
- Run and maintain the WordPress site: pages, landing pages, retreat and event
pages, speaker page, basic troubleshooting.
- Convert video into SEO-optimized blog posts — transcript to article, structured for
search, not pasted.
- Own the email list: segmentation, nurture sequences, launch campaigns, retreat
and event promotion, and a reliable send schedule. Growing the list is part of the job,
not a by-product.
- Build and maintain the funnels connecting content → list → retreat, book and event
sales.
4. Travel, retreats and logistics
- Marisol decides where she goes. The destinations are chosen instinctively and
often late — a place makes itself known a month out and the schedule flips. You'll
brainstorm with her, research options and bring ideas, but you don't own the
itinerary. You own making it happen once it's decided.
- Book and coordinate travel: flights, ground transport, accommodation, visas, filming
permissions, local fixers where needed.
- Schedule and organize the retreats Marisol appears at through Queen of the Thrones
— dates, venue liaison, contracts, itineraries, guest communications, materials and
on-the-ground support.
- Make sure every trip produces content: pre-planned shot list, capture support on
location, and a publishing plan before the flight home.
- Build and tend the community around the retreats and sacred travel.
This part of the job rewards people who stay calm when plans change, and frustrates
people who need a locked quarterly calendar.
5. Bookings, publicity and outreach
- Build and run the speaking pipeline: practitioner and doctor conferences,
naturopathic and functional medicine events, Traditional Chinese Medicine and
Ayurveda gatherings, wellness summits, entrepreneur and founder events —
worldwide.
- Research, pitch, negotiate and book. Follow up relentlessly. Own the calendar.
- Run a tiered podcast strategy. Target 30–50 mid-tier appearances in year one —
established wellness, health, longevity, business and founder shows — to build a
genuine track record and highlight reel. The stated ambition is the top tier: Diary of a
CEO, Mel Robbins, Jay Shetty and their peers. Those seats are won through
relationships, a news hook and demonstrated reach, not cold pitches, so the work is
to build all three deliberately: cultivate producers and past guests, grow the YouTube
numbers until they argue for themselves, and time the ask to a book launch or
milestone.
- Support book launches and publicity moments — coordinate with publicists and
publishers, build the media and podcast push around a launch, manage the asset kit,
keep the calendar tight.
- Maintain the speaker kit, one-sheet, media page and press assets.
- Track every booking to an outcome: subscribers, list growth, sales, relationships.
What you need to bring
Non-negotiable
- Strong enough video editing — Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut or CapCut
Pro — to cut a Reel yourself when it's faster, and to brief, judge and correct a
freelancer's work when it isn't. Portfolio of short-form that performed.
- Experience hiring and managing freelancers: writing a brief, setting a rate, testing
cheaply, and cutting someone loose without drama.
- Real fluency across YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok as a creator or
operator, not just a user.
- WordPress comfort — build pages, fix things, don't panic.
- Email marketing platform experience (Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit, Kajabi or
similar).
- Writing ability. You'll draft blogs, emails, captions and pitches in Marisol's voice.
- Organized enough to run international travel logistics and a speaking calendar at the
same time, and flexible enough to re-plan both at short notice.
- Self-directed. You'll be given direction and left to execute.
Strongly preferred
- Industry experience in wellness, health, travel or hospitality. This audience can
smell an outsider. Someone who already knows the conference circuit, the
practitioner world or the retreat landscape starts a year ahead.
- A background in history, classics, mythology, religious studies or
anthropology. Unusual to ask for, and it genuinely matters. Much of this content
sits where ancient healing traditions, sacred sites and world history meet. Someone
who knows their Greek mythology, can place a pilgrimage route in context, or
understands what the Ayurvedic and Taoist systems were responding to will write far
better storylines than someone researching it from scratch each episode.
- A real feel for travel, natural wellness and spa culture — you've been to the
places, or you badly want to be.
- Languages. Spanish is a significant advantage; this work is international and not
English-only. Italian, French or Portuguese are a plus.
- YouTube channel growth experience specifically — packaging, thumbnails, retention.
- A track record closing brand partnerships or sponsorships, with deal sizes you can
talk about.
- Podcast production experience.
- SEO fundamentals.
- Design capability (Canva, Figma, Adobe).
- Prior experience supporting a creator, author or speaker.
- Publicity, PR or book launch experience.
This is not the right role if you want a narrow lane, need detailed direction, or only
want to edit. It's broad by design and it moves fast.
How to apply
Send:
1. Your portfolio — especially short-form video you cut yourself.
2. A short note on how you'd structure the first six months of a YouTube channel that
has to satisfy practitioners, attract stressed high-earning founders, and hold
viewers who'll never buy — and what you'd run on LinkedIn alongside it.
3. A 30–60 second Reel you've cut from existing Be Well Queen or Dr. Marisol
footage (publicly available on Instagram or YouTube), with your own hook and
caption.
4. In three or four sentences: the realistic path to getting a guest booked on a show like
Diary of a CEO. We read this one closely.
