Role overview

As Performance Marketing Manager – Paid Search, you will lead paid search across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, with ownership of strategy, investment and commercial results. You will use data to identify where we can grow, improve performance from ad click to purchase and make clear decisions about where to spend. Beyond paid search, you will drive the development and testing of additional paid acquisition channels, including native advertising and help scale those with strong commercial potential.

Reporting to the Head of Performance Marketing, you will play a key role in our performance marketing team, working with internal teams and external partners to strengthen our paid acquisition capabilities and prepare our channels for Hilo’s next stage of growth.

Work location: Our company operates on a remote-first model. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Europe. Fluent English and German are a must. Occasional travel to our office in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, or to team events may be required.

Core responsibilities

• Set the paid search strategy across the US, UK, Germany and further growth markets.
• Lead campaign strategy and execution across Search, Shopping and Performance Max, working closely with internal teams and external partners and include Google Demand Gen where it support our goals.
• Manage budgets, pacing, bidding and investment across platforms and markets.
• Measure performance against acquisition cost, conversion, revenue, and ROI, using business data alongside platform reporting.
• Build a testing roadmap across keywords, audiences, creative, product feeds and landing pages and use the results to improve conversion and guide investment.
• Partner with marketing, product, creative and analytics colleagues to strengthen tracking and improve the customer journey.
• Use AI tools and platform automation to accelerate research, analysis and execution, while checking outputs and keeping health claims accurate.
• Drive the testing and development of additional paid channels, such as native advertising and scale successful approaches.
• Present results, risks and opportunities clearly, with a point of view on what Hilo should do next.

Requirements

Background & Experience

• At least 5 years of hands-on paid search experience in an international setting, with accountability forbudgets and measurable business results.
• Deep expertise in Google Ads, and strong working experience with Microsoft Advertising.
• A data-driven approach grounded in sound measurement, rigorous testing, and commercial judgment.
• A track record of improving conversion rates, acquisition efficiency, and ROI across multiple markets.
• Experience with media planning and performance forecasting.
• Experience launching and evaluating paid channels beyond search.
• The ability to set direction and influence colleagues while staying close to campaign execution.
• Practical experience using AI and automation, with the judgment to verify their outputs.
• Nice to have: experience in health tech, medical devices, wearables, or subscription products.
