You will build and scale the foundational People Operations infrastructure, including onboarding, employee hubs, and internal policies. You will also leverage AI and automation to create efficient, self-service solutions that improve the overall employee experience.
At Videa, we help dental clinicians deliver better care to millions of patients through AI.
Oral health is health. Dentists are protectors of societal wellness. We build technology that enhances the moment of care, amplifies clinical expertise, and makes proactive oral healthcare the norm.
Thousands of clinicians rely on Videa every day. Your work here will be reflected in real practice, improving real patient outcomes. If you want to build something that matters, keep reading.
We’re looking for a People Operations Generalist to help build the foundation for how people experience working at Videa.
This is a builder role.
Today, many of the basics you would expect in a scaling company either don’t exist yet or need to be built from the ground up. That includes onboarding, an employee hub, policies and documentation, and the systems employees and managers need to get answers and navigate the company easily.
Your job is not simply to administer HR processes. It is to understand what employees need, identify the underlying problems, and build simple, scalable solutions to solve them.
We also want someone who is excited about what People Operations can look like from an AI-native perspective. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with AI and automation across onboarding, employee support and new People programs rather than defaulting to traditional HR processes.
You’ll report to the VP of People and work independently across the company.
Build and continuously improve our onboarding experience, from offer acceptance through ramp
Create a simple, useful employee hub where people can easily find the information and resources they need
Build the core People policies, documentation and operating infrastructure required as we scale
Identify gaps across the employee lifecycle and determine what we need to build, improve or remove
Use AI and automation to make People programs simpler, faster and more useful for employees and managers
Create self-service tools and resources that reduce unnecessary People administration
Listen for employee signals and help us identify issues before they become bigger problems
Partner with the VP of People on new programs and experiments as the company grows
Own the details and execution required to turn ideas into things people actually use
30 days - discovery - you’ll experience and assess our current onboarding and People infrastructure firsthand, gathering the information you need to understand what’s missing and where the biggest opportunities are. You will also need to jump in on any in flight people needs.
By 60 days, you’ll have launched a V1 of an onboarding experience. This will continue to be an iterative building process as part of the role.
By 90 days, employees will have a central People hub (built by you) and we’ll have a clear, prioritized view of the People infrastructure we need to build next, why it matters and when we should build it.
Over time, success means employees can join Videa, find what they need and navigate key moments in their employee experience without unnecessary friction or dependency on the People team.
We care more about how you think and build than how many years you’ve spent in HR.
You’re likely to be successful here if you:
Are a strong systems thinker. You look beyond the immediate symptom and figure out the underlying problem before building a solution.
Are genuinely AI-native. You actively use AI in your work and can show us things you’ve built, automated or fundamentally changed using it. You are not using AI to automate broken systems.
Know how to build from zero. You’re comfortable starting with a blank page rather than inheriting established processes and playbooks. We don’t do playbooks we work from first principles.
Can operate independently. You can take an outcome, figure out what needs to happen and drive the work forward without waiting for detailed instructions.
Have strong product instincts. You think about employees as users and care whether the things you build are intuitive, useful and actually used.
Keep things simple. You don’t create a process because HR has always had a process.
Are comfortable moving quickly, experimenting and improving something once it’s in the hands of employees.
You have a passion for innovation in the people space. You see how things are done today and you see a better way to do things.
Previous People Operations experience is ideal, particularly if you’ve operated as a small or one-person People function, but it isn’t the most important thing to us. We value exceptional operating systems and product skills over a traditional People Ops background. You’ll need relevant People exposure, but we’re open to where and how you gained it.
We win and lose together as one team. Collaboration is not a buzzword here. We share context early, ask for input, and step in to help when someone is stuck.
We hold a high bar, but we stay grounded. We move fast, learn as we go, and stay focused on what matters most for clinicians and patients.
Competitive compensation and meaningful equity
Unlimited PTO
100% company-paid dental and vision coverage
Generous medical contributions
The opportunity to work on AI that is actually used every day
A team of thoughtful, driven people who genuinely care
The base salary range for this role is $170,000–$180,000, with a variable bonus of $40,000–$50,000 tied to net revenue retention (NRR) and account retention. Actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include bonus opportunities, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package where applicable.
Apply anyway. We are not looking for perfect resumes. We are looking for the right teammate who is excited to contribute to our mission and grow with us.
