Payroll Specialist – UKG / Pay Pro

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with hands-on experience using UKG / Pay Pro. This role is responsible for accurate payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, and maintaining clean payroll records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and comfortable working in structured payroll systems.

This is a hands-on payroll role focused on accuracy, compliance, and consistency. It is not an HR generalist or managerial position.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule using UKG / Pay Pro
  

• Monitoring the Payroll Inbox and responding to emails in a timely manner.
  

• Review timekeeping data, pay rates, deductions, and payroll adjustments
  

• Ensure employees are paid correctly, on time, and without errors
  

• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies or inconsistencies
  

• Process payroll corrections, off-cycle runs, and adjustments when required
  

• Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation
  

• Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax requirements, and internal controls
  

• Respond to employee payroll-related questions clearly and professionally
  

• Coordinate with HR and accounting teams as needed
  

• Support payroll audits and reporting requests
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in payroll processing
  

• Hands-on experience with UKG / Pay Pro (required)
  

• Strong understanding of payroll procedures, deductions, and compliance
  

• High attention to detail and accuracy
  

• Comfortable with repetitive, deadline-driven work
  

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll for multi-state or multi-location teams
  

• Familiarity with timekeeping and approval workflows in UKG
  

• Experience supporting payroll audits
