The Rankin School of Nursing invites applications for a Part-time Academic Instructor to teach NURS 440 (Transition to Nursing Practice: Consolidation) (3 credits) in the Winter term of the 2026-2027 Academic Year. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
During this final practice experience, students consolidate nursing knowledge and entry-to-practice competencies. The focus is the transition from the student to baccalaureate graduate registered nurse role through a mentored experience. Students assume responsibility for learning and increasingly complex assignments as they near the end of their baccalaureate education. Application of relevant evidence and best practice guidelines is required. Includes 440 hours of clinical practice experience.

Duties
Part-Time Academic Instructor positions involve the normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course including but not limited to preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; and holding regular office hours.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD or Master’s degree with significant experience in the course area. Relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level is an asset.
