DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal I to join our Legal team. In this role, you will support critical legal operations by reviewing, validating, and responding to legal demands from federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, as well as investigating and resolving consumer complaints and emergency legal requests.

This position is ideal for someone early in their legal career who enjoys structured problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can balance attention to detail with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while collaborating professionally with law enforcement agencies, internal stakeholders, and consumers in highly sensitive situations.

As a member of the Legal team, you will learn and apply legal concepts, company policies, and established procedures to resolve routine to moderately complex issues while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, validate, and process legal demands from federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
  • Identify deficiencies in legal requests and communicate appropriate response requirements.
  • Process and respond to subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and other legal demand documents.
  • Investigate and respond to third-party consumer complaints in accordance with company policies and applicable legal requirements.
  • Evaluate and process exigent circumstance and emergency disclosure requests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of legal requests, responses, and related correspondence.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with law enforcement personnel, legal representatives, consumers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality, privacy, and data protection requirements.
  • Monitor assigned case queues and manage deadlines to ensure timely responses.
  • Support departmental process improvements and other legal operations initiatives as needed.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, legal support, or paralegal-related role within a law firm, government agency, or corporate legal department.
  • Formal legal training, paralegal certificate, or legal studies coursework preferred but not required.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Understanding of legal terminology and legal document review processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify deficiencies, and follow established procedures.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong customer service mindset and the ability to communicate calmly and professionally during difficult or emotional interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $48,000.00 to $58,000.00. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. This role will be accepting applications until 09/14/2026 at a minimum. Please note that the application timeline may be flexible to accommodate a comprehensive candidate evaluation.

This role is primarily remote, but candidates must reside near one of our hub locations for occasional collaboration: 

Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; San Antonio, TX; Denver, CO; Seattle, WA
