The Paralegal will draft and organize legal documents and contracts while managing the company's IP portfolio and trademark enforcement. Additionally, they will handle corporate governance tasks and conduct legal research to provide analysis and recommendations.
Omni Retail Enterprises, LLC, operates a lifestyle portfolio of digital storefronts and communities including home decor, apparel, fitness products and more. Omni is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support our legal team across a range of practice areas. This is a remote, full-time position ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in general legal support and a proven ability to work independently. The successful candidate will maintain work hours in the Pacific Time Zone or the Mountain Time Zone.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
- Coordinate with outside counsel, agencies, third-parties, and courts as needed
- Assist with managing the IP portfolio:
- Conduct trademark searches and analysis to assess availability and potential conflicts.
- Monitor trademark portfolio to identify and address infringement issues.
- Coordinate with outside counsel on trademark enforcement matters
- Conduct legal research on various legal issues and prepare memoranda providing analysis and recommendations
- Assist with managing corporate governance:
- Coordinate with outside vendor on annual reports
- Maintain familiarity with Operating Agreements
- Drafting Resolutions and Minutes
- Assist with a wide-variety of legal matters as they arise
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a retail or ecommerce environment.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with outside counsel and managing legal vendor relationships.
- Willingness to embrace legal tools and leverage AI to increase operational efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel less than 10% of the time.
- Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and sound judgment handling confidential information

Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, Legal Studies, or related field. Advanced degree or certification in Paralegal Studies a plus.
- Proficiency in trademark and copyright law
- Familiarity with docketing systems and processes.
- Experience with Xakia

- Ability to sit at a desk for an extended period of time.
- While performing the duties of this job, you may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard/laptop computer, and telephone.
