Painting Specialist

Are you an experienced Painting Specialist with strong U.S. construction experience and a passion for sharing your expertise? SMARTSOURCING USA is seeking a qualified Painting Specialist to support the training and development of aspiring painting estimators and construction professionals.

This is a contractor role for someone who can independently deliver training, provide mentorship, and contribute subject matter expertise in painting systems, coatings, surface preparation, and estimating practices.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Painting Specialist or in a related painting and coatings construction trade.
• Strong experience working on U.S.-based construction projects, with solid knowledge of U.S. standards, terminology, and workflows.
• Prior experience in training, mentoring, coaching, or team lead capacity within the painting industry.
• Strong understanding of painting systems, surface preparation, primers, coatings, finishes, application methods, estimating principles, takeoffs, and project coordination.
• Knowledge of U.S. painting standards, coating systems, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices.
• Experience with interior and exterior painting projects, specialty coatings, or industrial/commercial painting is an advantage.
• Experience estimating commercial and/or residential painting projects.
• Familiarity with estimating software, digital takeoff tools, blueprint reading, and construction drawings.
• Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a remote contractor setup.
• Professional, patient, and effective in guiding learners with varying skill levels.
