Job Purpose We are seeking a meticulous
Packaging Artworker to work within a fast-paced team focused on producing print-based packaging materials. You will take projects from the initial style guide to print-ready artwork for a global customer base. The ideal candidate is a technical expert who ensures brand integrity and accuracy across all languages and packaging formats.
Key Responsibilities - Artwork Production: Create technically accurate, print-ready mechanicals from briefs and style guides while maintaining high quality and "right first time" standards.
- Deadline Management: Take ownership of allocated workloads to ensure all milestones and Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines are met.
- Technical Precision: Demonstrate a deep understanding of print specifications, grids, and die-lines within a packaging context.
- Localization: Manage complex multi-language layouts (MLDs) and global language versioning.
- Quality Control: Perform rigorous QC checks on typography, layout, and colour to ensure zero errors before production.
- Collaboration: Act as a flexible team player, supporting administration functions and occasionally liaising directly with customers.
Technical Requirements - Experience: At least 2 years of proven technical experience in the end-to-end artwork process for print packaging materials.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level skills in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Print Knowledge: Solid understanding of various printing processes (e.g., litho, flexo, digital) and how to set up files for different finishes.
- Hardware: Mastery of Apple Mac systems and associated workflows.
