Our 550,000-square-foot facility in the heart of the Midwest supports nationwide distribution, and our dedication to craftsmanship and customer service sets us apart.   About the Role We are seeking an experienced and driven Outside Sales Representative to cover our Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Washington DC. In this 1099 contractor role, you’ll represent all five of Wausau Tile’s divisions, selling both interior and exterior product lines to design and construction professionals. This is a remote, commission-based position with significant autonomy and earning potential.   Key Responsibilities Grow sales revenue by acquiring new accounts and expanding existing relationships Represent Wausau Tile’s full product portfolio to architects, landscape architects, general contractors, installers, and subcontractors Generate qualified leads and build a strong pipeline Understand client needs and present tailored product solutions Manage proposals, negotiations, and order logistics from start to finish Provide excellent post-sale support and ensure customer satisfaction Use Salesforce to track opportunities, manage the sales funnel, and report activity Stay informed on competitor activity, market trends, and new product opportunities Educate clients on product updates and technical specs Assist in payment collection if needed   Requirements 10+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in the building or construction materials industry 5+ years of experience in construction-related products or services Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals Ability and willingness to travel daily within the territory, with occasional overnight stays Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation   This Position Offers Flexible, remote work arrangement Commission-based earning potential Opportunity to represent a respected brand with national reach and product diversity Supportive company culture with responsive leadership and team collaboration   Please Note: This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not a direct hire or full-time W-2 position.
