Role Summary:

We’re looking for an Outbound Growth Manager to own the top of our sales funnel. This isn’t a stepping-stone SDR role, it’s a seat for someone who has already put in the reps and is ready to take real ownership. You’ll develop prospect lists from scratch, craft compelling outreach, run multi-touch email campaigns, and be directly accountable for a meaningful share of the revenue pipeline. If you love the hunt, have a knack for writing, and geek out on systems and data, this is your next move.

This role sits at the intersection of growth, sales, and revenue operations. You'll have a direct impact on company fundraising growth, significant ownership over results, and the opportunity to help shape how outbound is built and scaled for the majority of the schools and districts our teams interact with and sell to. Success will be measured by pipeline generation, outbound campaign performance and overall contribution to revenue growth for our fundraising sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

Pipeline Building & Prospecting

  • Identify, source and compile accurate prospect contact data using tools like Claude, Apollo, or custom scripts and internal tools

  • Maintain and enrich a clean, well-organized prospect database with up-to-date information

  • Identify and prioritize high-fit accounts based on Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) criteria

CRM Ownership

  • Build, maintain, and refine CRM reports and dashboards to track pipeline health, activity metrics, and conversion rates

  • Ensure all prospect and outreach data is logged accurately and consistently

  • Surface insights from CRM data to improve targeting and outreach strategy

Email Outreach & Copywriting

  • Write sharp, personalized email copy that earns opens, replies, and meetings

  • Develop and A/B test subject lines, messaging angles, and calls to action

  • Build and manage multi-step email sequences in platforms such as Instantly or Apollo

Quota & Revenue Accountability

  • Own a pipeline build quota

  • Track your own metrics weekly and proactively flag blockers or opportunities

  • Work closely with Fundraising Territory Managers to ensure smooth handoffs and feedback loops

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • You have 2-3 years of outbound sales or SDR experience and you’re ready for more ownership than your current role gives you

  • You can write clearly, conversationally, and persuasively, without sounding like a robot

  • You’re comfortable with web scraping and data enrichment (even if you’re not an engineer)

  • You’ve used CRM tools before and know how to pull a useful report

  • You’ve run email campaigns in tools like Instantly, Apollo, Outreach, or similar

  • You’re quota-driven and take personal ownership of your numbers

  • You thrive in a fast-moving startup environment with a high-degree of autonomy

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling into K-12 schools, nonprofits, or youth-serving organizations

  • Familiarity with Clay, Apollo, Instantly, or similar modern GTM tooling

  • A track record of iterating on your own outreach based on data

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain stationary for a long period of time, including working on a computer.

  • This position may also be required to travel to client sites or conferences. This could include standing and walking for prolonged periods of time, and while outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Hometown values the importance of demonstrating to our customers that we care and are invested in our product and how it can be the best solution for them.
