OT/ICS Cybersecurity Engineer - USA - Remote

This is a remote position.

Manufacturing organizations need OT/ICS Cybersecurity Engineer talent for securing OT/ICS environments, improving industrial network resilience, and reducing plant-floor cyber risk. What the consultant will do

·       Assess OT/ICS environments, network segmentation, remote access, asset inventory, and plant-floor security gaps.

·       Apply IEC 62443, ISA-95, Purdue Model, and NIST-aligned controls to manufacturing environments.

·       Partner with plant engineering, IT security, controls, networking, and operations teams.

·       Review SCADA, PLC, historian, HMI, OPC-UA, and industrial protocol exposure risks.

·       Support secure architecture, risk remediation, incident response readiness, and audit documentation.

·       Communicate risk in business terms for plant leaders and executives.

Required qualifications

·       Hands-on or strongly demonstrable experience with: OPC-UA, ISA-95 / Purdue Model, Industrial Cybersecurity (IEC 62443), MQTT / Sparkplug B, SCADA (Ignition / FactoryTalk / WinCC), Kepware / Ignition / Wonderware.

·       Hands-on experience in manufacturing, industrial, supply chain, operations technology, or enterprise transformation environments.

·       Ability to work with both business stakeholders and technical teams across OT and IT boundaries.

·       Strong documentation, troubleshooting, testing, communication, and delivery ownership.

·       Experience supporting implementation, integration, support, rollout, upgrade, or production deployment projects.

·       Comfortable in remote, hybrid, and plant-facing delivery models depending on client needs.

Preferred qualifications

·       Familiarity with plant-floor constraints, industrial networks, safety, uptime, and change-control expectations.

·       Experience with regulated or quality-sensitive manufacturing such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, food and beverage, packaging, chemicals, or electronics.

·       Experience working with global teams, offshore/nearshore delivery, and client-facing consulting environments.

·       Exposure to Agile, Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, SOP documentation, runbooks, and production support models.
