Design, develop, and maintain integration components using Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Service Bus to connect on-premise and cloud systems. Collaborate with global teams in an Agile environment to implement scalable integration patterns and provide production support.

Project description:

We are seeking experienced Oracle SOA Developers to join an international consulting and delivery environment focused on large‑scale integration and migration projects. The role involves designing, developing and supporting integration solutions using Oracle SOA Suite and related Oracle middleware technologies. You will work with global delivery teams and clients across industries to implement reliable, scalable integrations between on‑premise and cloud systems, ensuring smooth data flow and process automation. This position suits technically strong engineers who enjoy problem solving, collaboration in agile teams, and contributing to end‑to‑end integration landscapes.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Designing, developing and maintaining integration components using Oracle SOA Suite (BPEL, Mediator, OSB/Service Bus where applicable).

  • Implementing and configuring adapters (e.g. JDBC, SOAP, HTTP, File, JMS) and integrating with Oracle and third‑party systems.

  • Developing and consuming web services (SOAP and REST) and ensuring contract, security and performance requirements are met.

  • Working with API gateways, ESB/OSB, and message brokers to design reliable, asynchronous, and transactional integration patterns.

  • Participating in solution and integration design workshops with architects, developers and stakeholders to define end‑to‑end flows.

  • Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests, and supporting QA and performance testing activities.

  • Supporting deployments, troubleshooting production incidents and performing root‑cause analysis and remediation.

  • Documenting integration designs, runbooks and operational procedures; contributing to knowledge sharing across the team.

  • Working within Agile delivery teams, taking ownership of work items and collaborating closely with developers, testers and DevOps.

Tech stack

  • Oracle middleware: Oracle SOA Suite (BPEL, Mediator), Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Oracle JDeveloper / Oracle Enterprise Pack tools.

  • Integration: SOAP and REST web services, WSDL/XSD, XML, JSON, XSLT.

  • Messaging & adapters: JMS, Oracle AQ, Kafka/RabbitMQ (nice to have), JDBC, file and HTTP adapters.

  • Security & governance: WS‑Security, OAuth/OpenID Connect, API gateways and service governance concepts.

  • Cloud & deployment: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Databases: Oracle Database and SQL.

  • Tooling: Git, build tools, monitoring and APM tools for production support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial experience working with Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus or equivalent middleware technologies.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing integrations using BPEL, Mediator, adapters and web services (SOAP/REST).

  • Strong knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, XSLT and transformation/validation techniques.

  • Experience with messaging systems (JMS, Oracle AQ) and asynchronous integration patterns.

  • Good understanding of security for integrations (WS‑Security, SSL/TLS, OAuth) and data protection principles.

  • Experience with deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of middleware solutions in production environments.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS or Azure) and CI/CD practices for automated deployments.

  • Practical knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL.

  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams and strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).

  • Customer‑facing experience and ability to collaborate with architects, developers and operations teams across time zones.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and cloud‑native integration approaches.

  • Knowledge of microservices, containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

  • Certifications in Oracle SOA, Oracle Cloud or related middleware technologies.

  • Knowledge of additional languages (e.g. Java, PL/SQL) and experience with DevOps tooling.
