The Role

Oracle HCM Configuration (Core Scope)

  • Configure Oracle HCM Cloud with focus on Oracle Learning
  • Set up:
    • Catalogues, offerings, content types
    • Audience rules, eligibility criteria, enrolment logic
    • Workflows, approvals, notifications, and roles
       

Content & Learning Management

  • Upload and validate SCORM packages
  • Manage catalogue structure and content taxonomy
  • Ensure correct assignment and visibility of training
     

Reporting & Documentation

  • Design and develop reports using:

    • OTBI
    • BI Publisher (~20–30 reports)
  • Maintain:

    • Report documentation
    • Data governance and process documentation
       

Data Management (HDL)

  • Perform data activities using:

    • HCM Data Loader (HDL / HSDL)
  • Activities:

    • Prepare templates
    • Cleanse and transform data
    • Validate and reconcile data with business expectations
       

Integration Development & Support
 

Integration Analysis

  • Analyse integration requirements (e.g. non-worker onboarding, learning data flows)
  • Translate business needs into technical integration design
     

Design & Development

  • Design and develop integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC):

    • HCM Adapter
    • REST / SOAP adapters
  • Build:

    • Orchestration flows (app-driven, scheduled)
    • Data mappings (JSON/XML, XSLT/XPath)
       

Error Handling & Monitoring

  • Implement:

    • Fault handling and exception management
    • Logging and traceability
  • Monitor and troubleshoot:

    • Integration failures
    • Data inconsistencies across systems
       

Security & Connectivity

  • Configure:

    • API security (OAuth2, Basic Auth)
    • Certificates and secure connections
  • Ensure secure integration with:

    • External providers
    • Identity and access systems
       

Documentation & Handover

  • Prepare:

    • Integration design documents
    • Mapping documentation
    • Operational runbooks
  • Support:

    • Knowledge transfer to support teams
       

Functional Analysis & Coordination

  • Analyse business requirements related to:

    • Learning processes
    • Data and reporting
    • Integration needs
  • Act as a bridge between:

    • Business stakeholders
    • Technical / integration teams


Who You Are

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Oracle HCM Cloud (Learning preferred)
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • Learning configuration (catalogue, enrolment, workflows)
    • Reporting using OTBI / BI Publisher
    • Data management using HDL
       

OIC / Integration Skills (Mandatory)

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • REST / SOAP APIs
    • JSON / XML data structures
  • Experience with:

    • OIC adapters (HCM, REST, SOAP)
    • Data mapping (XSLT/XPath)
    • Error handling and monitoring

Technical Awareness

  • Understanding of:
    • Integration patterns (sync/async)
    • Data flows between systems
    • Identity provisioning concepts

Additional Preferred Skills

  • SCORM troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of Fast Formula, HCM Extract
  • Experience in global / multi-country HCM projects
     

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Strong ownership and accountability
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • High attention to detail (especially for integration and data accuracy)
  • Ability to work across business and technical teams
