Job Title: Operations and Compliance Manager
Reports to: Lauren Seal, Partner & Director Operations
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Manage the Operations and Compliance teams, ensuring workload is allocated appropriately and
internal SLAs are met
Conduct full training, monitor performance and conduct weekly 1-2-1’s and quarterly appraisals
Coach, support, manage and motivate teams to achieve high levels of performance and their full
potential
Escalation point for contractor compliance team, consultant, contractor and client queries
Support the Operations Director with the oversight, design and redesign, if required, all business
operations within the Group. Along with ensuring business operations are efficient in terms of
using as little resources as needed, and effective in terms of meeting internal and external
stakeholder requirements.
Responsible for keeping abreast of new recruitment legislation which may affect operational and
compliance processes, and providing training and policy updates to the business where required
Ensure that company internal policies are kept up to date in line with new recruitment legislation
which may affect operational and compliance processes
Review client TOBs for the UK, US and Singapore offices
Mirror client contracts into our contractor’s contract templates
Coordinate all PSL & RFI proposals and tenders across London, the US and Singapore
Carry out training for new and existing employees to ensure that everyone is aware of and complies
with their responsibilities under the Data Protection Act, GDPR and Information Security, providing
ongoing support and guidance where required
Manage insurance renewals for all policies and entities globally, ensuring these are at the relevant
levels to mitigate risk whilst maintaining commercial pricing
Create and distribute monthly management reporting packs
Work with SLT on an ongoing basis to ensure dashboards and reports are designed to support driving
performance and making data led decisions
Responsible for entity compliance including Singapore EA and BR renewals
Running training sessions with contract consultants on our process and legislation
Update screening guidelines, ensuring all client specific screening requirements are kept up to date
Carry out quarterly audits on a sample of our contractor population, ensuring we are compliant with
legislation and our own internal policies and controls
Provide cover for the Office and Events Manager for starter and Leaver processes, ensuring starters
are set up on all required systems in advance of their start date and have a seamless onboarding
experience. Systems access to be deactivated promptly for all leavers and equipment returned.
Requirements
Experience/Interpersonal Skills Required
IT literate with good typing skills and confident using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneDrive,
SharePoint and Salesforce would be advantageous, but not required
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to prioritise workload effectively
Problem-solving skills and the ability to come up with creative solutions to issues
Previous experience working within the recruitment sector
Working with Terms Of Business & Contracts
Compliance Experience within a recruitment business (Ideally UK & OR US)
Excellent time management and planning skills, outstanding attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Able to communicate effectively both internally and externally in both written and verbal forms, with strong relationship management skills
The ability to work proactively, driving for results, and constantly striving to perform the highest levels of service to the business
Team player with the ability to take direction from others and collaborate effectively, working with enthusiasm and dedication to the company
